Yes, it damaged me permenently. I slipped and fell on some ice when out in service™ and injured my knee. A piece of bone and cartilege broke off my femur and had to be removed. I doubt it will grow back.

or was the experience just a glitch that can be overcome?.

i was inspired by rat's post.
are you a nice person?
melodramatic?
Yes, I like me and so does everyone who knows me, even when I'm a pain in the ass.
Which is most of the time.

every now and then i get an email saying that we should all boycott a certain garage and not buy gas there anymore, and that it would eventually force that garage to lower the gas price and then we would all benefit from this.. i had another power point presentation this morning and they say to boycott petro canada and shell.. now gas is $1.16 a litre in montreal, and should go up to $1.42 a litre this winter they say in this email.. so, my question is, do you think that we as consumers can make the gas prices come down, and if yes, how?
On the radio this morning the DJ made this suggestion:
Everyone should go to the gas station tomorrow and buy exactly $6.21 worth of gas to send a message to the companies. The numbers, when converted to letters of the alphabet, are FU.

a while back i read a wt article that denounced the practice of "simony", or the practice of buying spiritual privelege.
i wonder if there is a great difference between "simony" and "reaching out" tm for more "privileges" tm in the congregation.
after all, it is pretty clear if someone is "marked"tm as "spiritually weak"tm they can pretty well write off getting much sympathy or support from the local congregation.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/simony.
A MS and I were out for a beer once and he started complaining about a brother™ who never donated money to the hall but he donated money to the Hummingbird Center in Toronto. So I asked him, "How is it that you know whether or not he donates to the hall? You're not the account servant™. Secondly, when did his spending habits become any of your business?"
I never got an answer because he suddenly remembered that he had to pick someone up. It effectively cur short our beer break.
And I wonder why I never had friends as a JW.

i noticed that hibie hasn't posted since the dating thread where it was pointed out that she borrowed some of her material from other websites, blogs, etc.. hibie has quickly become a fixture here with her threads that draw responses like crazy and her unusual preaching style.
i don't think i am alone in wondering just who she really is since she seems to avoid all questions directed to her about who she is, how she came to this website, what she is trying to accomplish.. she has been called everything from mentally ill, to born again, to a troll by those on the board.. hibie, in all seriousness, i'd really like to know who you are and how you got here.
if you are a teenager having fun, that's okay, but some of the stuff on this forum isn't really appropriate for a younger teen.
Hey, I thought she might be on a date with GBL.

a lot of @$$-ing
That's what it's all about. The better you do it the further you'll progress™. Donating money helps too, but you need to do it by cheque, so the elders know who's donating money, and how much. Cash is so hard to track.
Helping weak ones™ is fine if you want to count service time™, but it won't help a guy progress™ in the congregation. The elders will notice a brother™ who encourages™ weak ones™ and they'll keep him in a position where he has to keep doing it, so they don't have to.
can anyone confirm if their doctrin of the reserection has been changed?
a witness idiot i know has been trying to preach to me online trying to convert me.
he has stability issues himself with flip flopping back and forth between the "world" and the "truth".
I am unclear, however, on the status of:5. "Worldly" people and their children who die AT Armageddon.
6. Children of JW's, unbaptized, who die AT Armageddon.
The JWs have said that no one killed directly by Jehovah will receive a resurrection, so this would apply to those killed at Armageddon. I suppose then it should also apply to those killed at Sodom and Gomorrah as well then, eh? They flip flopped on that a few times. I suppose they'll be able to flip flop on Armageddon too. Maybe it will be a "major fulfillment" of the previous flip flop.

is there anything you'd like to change about your appearance?.
i'd like to be 2 inches taller with the same weight proportion.. i'd like to have nicer skin.. i'd like to be a little more muscular.. other than that, i'm not too unhappy with my looks.. all things the new system would have brought me..... .
I wish I was a little uglier. Most of my spare time is spent fighting off hot women that can't get enough of me. As a result I'm not getting anything else done.

even if you don't believe in what you'd preach, would you accept being a jw in return for a salary?.
why not?
JH...Have you lost your f***ing mind? That's like asking 'Would you be a hit man for money?'....Same thing they would both ruin lives!!!!!
Stop insulting hit men/women! It's a much nobler career than being a JW! W
Can you imagine those guys bent over rocks on the beach in their G-Strings, or playing with each other in the sand during the photo shoot?
Ok man, that's one visual I could have lived without!
