there are fewer people today in the us that know witness doctrine or what witnesses would call "the good news of the kingdom".
The WTS pushes having the Reasoning book in their book bags and to reach for it if someone has a question they can't answer (not the Bible of course).
I remember many times we were encouraged to put the reasoning book to use, but I found it did more to turn the householders off. Many times when I used it the householder would ask me, "Why do you need that book? Don't you know what you believe?"

They refuse to embrace technology to spread "the truth".
Yes, instead they continue to go from door to door knowing full well that most people are not home. I remember meeting many people who never heard of Jehovah's Witnesses.
We're bombarded with all sorts of advertising every day through many mediums, but the JWs won't use these proven methods to spread their message. I suspect they use their ancient methods for 2 reasons:

my mother made an interesting observation this morning.
she said there were not as many kids in the congos as there used to be.
lots of single sisters but not many single brothers to marry.. if true and widespread, this could create a huge sociological shift in the make up of witness congos.
That sounds pretty true. I haven't been in the KH since the early 90s but from what I remember over and over is there'd be some study guy totally nasty looking and stupid as hell (some with criminal records) come to a Tuesday meeting and women would be all over them. Altough the "poor" families (mine included) were avoided like the plague.
That sounds like me in the 80s, minus, of course, the "stupid as hell" part. The women were all over me too, until they decided I was too poor for them. Then I was avoided like the plague too. W

In my last hall there were more single sisters™ than you could shake a stick at but only 3 eligible males, all of which were visibly retarded. To top it off the elders were, from the platform, discouraging single people from visiting other congregations in search of mates, as well as talking about the "wonderful gift of singleness".
Very few new converts, few suitable potential mates, and many who decide to remain childless because they want to put "kingdom interests first". And they wonder why they have no growth.

i mentioned how i didn't want to attend a congregation where people were claiming to do good works in the name of god and knowing that they were doing opposite.
he says " well, when the last days come.. when ever that is... jehovah saves groups not individuals" well what we're in the wrong group dad?
Makes sense according to JW teaching. People are punished as groups too, not just as individuals. With the exception of Lot and his daughters, all in Sodom and Gomorrah died, even innocent infants. 36 Isrealites died at Ai because of the actions of Achan and then he was stoned along with his family and livestock. All mankind suffers for the sin of Adam and Eve.
I don't think any organized religion gives an individual a fair shake. We're always condemned for the actions of others.

i remember one of my last talks, it was a bible reading, i was 15, and on crutches.
i tripped getting up on the platform and took the mic stand with me.
that was embarrassing.
I once farted loudly when I went up to adjust the microphone for a visiting speaker.

label mankind as imperfect when the bible clearly explains that humans are sinners and are separated from god because of sin?

my cousin and aunt (she who is in no way active) have ganged up on me saying how reputable and correct the bible is.
my aunt in specific has stated some good points about the bible, asking how is it that i dont believe in the bible if there are a lot of things in it ahead of its times.
scientifically speaking, she said, the bible clearly states the earth is round and that rivers give way to the seas.
simply because the bible was written by men who were INSPIRED by God.What proof is there of that?
You mean you don't know??? The bible is inspired because the bible says so - just like I'm HOT because I say so. Silly! W
