Please help me see them in a compassionate way..... I'm not a person who hates anything or anyone.... I just wanna cry!!!!
If it's any consolation, most of us were just like them at one time, but we've learned and progressed beyond that. There's always hope.

PS: Your card arrived yesterday. Thank you for your kind words, and please don't let the watchtower cause your beautiful smile to fade.
i realized that i didn't state this properly on my last post..... you always see ads in the dc arenas.
how about one that everyone will see for 3 days runnning?
no commentary, just a picture.
Ya, but the idiots don't even offer anything to drink or eat to the masses at the ASSemblies anymore.....so that one truly boggles the mind. Man, these guys are even nuttier than what I originally thought......
I recall at one assembly in Hamilton they actually announced that we shouldn't be going to Harvey's across the street for breakfast before the sessions. I went anyway, and it looked like most other people did too.

this is a question for those who have either been disfellowshipped or disassociated themselves.
i was disfellowshipped in september 2005 and have no intention of returning.
what i want to ask the rest of you is, did you ever get that yearly visit from the elders to see if you wanted to return to the organization or just how you were doing?
They never visited me, but that's not surprising since I warned them in my letter that any harassment or tresspassing would result in the police being called.
I doubt they'd want me anyway since I never donated any money.

i see some here who seem to despise the religion.
others seem to feel that witnesses are wacky but they don't hate them.. do you hate this religion?.
There is only one difference between the watchtower and my morning dump: my morning dump is necessary and easily flushed. The watchtower is not.

i have been noticing people posting on this site have a "deep" spiritual desire, but don't quite know how to find it, or where it is at.. this beg the question...do we need to be involved with a "religion" to find "spirituality"...especially an "organized religion"???.
anyone that has there eyes open can see that all religion is loosing their influence over people around the world...i spent 47 years thinking i was in the "truth" being one of jw's!
and now that i am out...and looking back from the "outside"...all i see is that its just another religion...filled with all the "control-grid" stuff found in any other group.. worse yet...they are worse than other religions...so it begs an answer..is there such thing as a "true religion"???.
Why are aliens never portrayed as hot busty redheads?

how irrational the society could be was experienced by the sister-in-law of ex-bethelite william (bill) cetnar when .... at the suggestion of her veterinarian, she had a blood transfusion given to her poodle to prolong its life.
she couldn't believe bill [cetnar]when he told her that the society would say she had violated god's law.
at his urging she wrote the society on the matter and the response she received informed her that she had done wrong.
Yet most JWs think nothing of eating a rare steak that's lying on a plate in a pool of blood.
Oops, sorry. I keep forgetting it's not blood. It's "juice".

Foodalls, even if your theories had merit, your method undermines your message. As x-jws, most of us have been deceived at least once. We're not easily convinced by sensationalistic speech or bold upper case letters. It requires a lot more than that to be taken seriously here.

if you were a jw, you know that everything hinged upon getting privileges, doing more, climbing the theocratic ladder.
if we "made it" to ministerial servant, our goal was to reach out and be an elder.
if we were part of a family that had an elder, m.s.
I joined that religion because I was interested in end-time prophecy and because they claimed 'not' to have a clergy class. Boy, was I fooled.
Me too. As for the "privileges", I think the women here did it mostly to catch a man. There were a lot more women then men in my area, and competition was stiff. The men sought "privileges" because you needed a title to have a social life. For me, I'd have been better off attending as a DF'd person than an untitled man. At least I wouldn't have had to listen to the constant belittling over every perceived deficiency.
Eventually I started entering the hall after the song & prayer and leaving early so I wouldn't have to talk to anyone.
