  Are JW EX elders in need of our contempt or sympathy ?

  point 1. not so long i would have strung them all up and hanged them.. point 2. these guys were the real succers, not only did they become jw,s, they embraced and adopted the cults teachings, and to some extent subjugated thier familys happiness, and thier own,to elevate themselves, and achieve status and recieve privellages, ie not have a f-----g life.

  point 3 they had the onerus task of making sense, of the ever changing (truths) and having to teach that crap to the rest of us, and cope with the subsequent questionings that would invariably follow.. point 4.they had to take the lead in (sales) distributing literature.

  point 5.they were the authoritarian face of the society, and a lot of people, (myself included ) thought they were jumped up janitors and window cleaners with a chip on thier shoulders.

  I lean toward sympathy. The ones I have contempt for are the ones who remain elders even after they discover it's all a crock of shit.

  I'm glad I was never an elder or MS. I've got enough other history I regularly beat myself up over.

  PROTESTS AT WATCHTOWER CONVENTIONS

  as you may know, the watchtower society takes great pride in its district conventions.

  please contact me if you can attend any of these protests.. there is no reason why every district convention in the world could not have a protest and receive media coverage to expose the watchtower society.

  Freedom of speech and freedom of choice is great eh?

  Yes it is, which is why I'm opposed to those who try to exert undue pressure on others who choose not to adopt their methods.

  Note to Rick Fearon: Calling people cowards or otherwise browbeating them is not the way to gain followers for your cause. I suppose you feel safe doing so from the relative safety of your computer screen, which makes you the coward as far as I'm concerned. If you did that with some people in person I suspect you'd be taking your meals through a straw by now.

  Do You Think You Would Be Terribly Missed If You Died?

  lately, i have noticed that many suddenly have died or as it is usually expressed, died "unexpectedly" in the local obituaries.. i have come to know of many young people suddenly deciding to kill themselves for whatever reasons.

  most that i have known about had either financial or personal issues and sadly, they just gave up.. i wonder if we were suddenly gone, would people take notice?.....

  there was a recent thread on the importance of proper heating/cooling of food.

  outlaw, a chef, gave good and helpful warnings.

  Living alone probably makes my food handling different from most people. I tend to cook enough for several days at a time. Once my cooking is done, I immediately create meal-sized portions in containers and put it in the freezer. The stove is for cooking, not storage, so nothing ever stays on the stove or in the oven. I can't count the number of times I was violently ill because of poorly handled food, especially turkey. My mom used to store it in the oven in its roaster for several days because there was no room in the fridge.It makes me shudder to think about it now.

  Since I started living alone and handling my own food I've never had a food related illness.

  i met a gorgeous lady yesterday and she shows too much cleavage.

  i see her facebook page, all of her pictures has cleavage in them, i would not want to date her because she shows too much all the time.

  i am tempted to tell her to cover up her cleavage, she might not like me telling her that.

  I believe they cried "copyright infringement" and he had to (temporarily) take them down..........

  This is a positive thing, and could be viewed as an opportunity. We don't have to restrict ourselves to real watchtower covers, which are boring as hell. We can create our own from scratch and say whatever we want, and there isn't a damn thing they can do about it.
