  i've been on and off this forum for the last 10 years and i've met some great people here over the years.

  thanks to simon and angharad for providing this resource that enables us to come together in a virtual "congregation" of ex jws.

  former jehovah's witness mark palo featured on free minds, who claims when he was a young boy was raped at the world headquarters of jehovah's witnesses by a governing body member named leo greenlees and says his life has been adversely affected by the watchtower org.. he has lost most of his family, over indulged with alcohol and has faced unrelentless problems both physically and emotionally.. marks therapist is willing to speak up in a court of law and expose the evils of the watchtower society.. mark will be our guest in the 7 pm to 9 pm hours.. .

  the first amendment (freedom of religion) has always been on the watchtowers side in stopping class action lawsuits against them but a stunning new twist has emerged that may open up the flood gates for scores of new lawsuits.. if your life has been turned upside down by the watchtower organization and would like to participate in and perhaps be compensated for the life altering damage caused to you then dial into the six screens of the watchtower conference call sat.

  Spending 9 hours on phone calls complaining about the watchtower isn't my idea of being "cult free". You're investing more time on the JW cult in one day than most JWs do in an entire week.

  Want to join a cult? Get a job with a political party. And getting downsized due to restructuring isn't much different than disfellowshipping. They lose the seats, and therefore their budget, forcing them to terminate employees, but the termination is the most hostile I've ever encountered. Former coworkers are even afraid to be listed as references.

  Why are so many JWs and exJWs unaware of the New World Order and the World Goverment?

  why are so many jehovahs witnesses and escpecially ex-jws so unaware and ignorant of the new world order and the world goverment?

  and is the watchtower a part of the new world order and the world goverment under the united nations and the vatican?

  my rrsearch says this is the case.

  i recently did a favour for one of my co-workers by exchanging a shift with her so she could have a day off when she needed it for a family event.. we worked together last night, and she was so excited about the family event that happened a couple of days ago - she really appreciated being able to go.

  so this morning, at the end of our shift, she tells me that she is going to church before she goes home to sleep, and she is going to pray for me to have many good things from god for doing this favour for her.. i'm flattered that she thinks it was such a big deal, but i told her "no really, that is not necessary... you really don't have to pray for me!

  " she was insistent!!

  Jobs and Pointy Headed Bosses

  i often wondered what the exact flaw in human society is that propels those with a talent for bare-knuckled, marquess of queensberry be damned office politics over those whose talents lie with the actual "nuts and bolts" of a project.. but i know it's a phenomenon that almost every single person in a technical field has experienced at one time or another.. when i've had the misfortune of working for an executive who really, truly doesn't understand the field well enough to set reasonable goals, i've tried to be philosophical about it.. when the executive ruthlessly drove the employees to go faster and faster and faster and then screamed obscenites when minor mistakes occurred, i've told myself that although it's unpleasent, it makes you stronger.

  when the executive fired people who burned out after a couple of years of this, i felt bad, but took it as a lesson.. when the executive fired people when he felt that their creative talent had simply been exhausted, i felt even worse and was just glad it didn't happen to me.. when the executive fired people who simply didn't have a brilliant idea to present him that day, i told myself that they should have known better than to ride with the boss.. maybe human beings need ruthless, egomaniacal ceo's like this.

  maybe most human accomplishments worthy of note had such a person behind them.

  I fully expect to be fired from my job after nearly 11 years there. I recently refused to work the hours they were asking of me - >12 hrs per day, 7 days a week. I was "invited" to a meeting with 3 directors over this, but I delayed the inevitable by providing a doctor's letter, which should not have been necessary since the demand to work so many hours and days violates labour legislation. I assume they'll find a way to ease me out shortly.

  I really don't care. As a systems administrator, I'm earning less today than I did on a helpdesk 13 years ago. I'm earning less than I did 28 years ago when I was cleaning windows, floors, and toilets part time. There is no opportunity for advancement or continuing education. Now that all my IT certifications have expired I'd have to refinance my home if I wanted to take courses and get myself up to date.

  If I have to go back to cleaning windows then so be it.

  Getting rid of HUGE JW library

  my husband, alanf, started collecting jw literature about 20 years ago when he began his indepth research into the religion.

  his collection includes just about everything the society has ever published, from books and magazines down to booklets, pamphlets, and handbills.

  some pieces are quite rare.
