  Did you ever have to change phone number because of the JW's?

  often, i changed phone number in the past, so that they wouldn't bother me.

  i remember being active and going to the meetings, but i still wanted none of them to have my phone number, knowing i would one day be inactive.. how about you, ever change phone number because of them?.

  My hall was going through renovations and the elders in my hall, without asking for my permission, gave my unlisted phone number to the neighboring congregations elders, whom I did not even know. One day I got a call from some elder I didn't know, trying to recruit me to volunteer™ my services. I gave him hell for calling me and told him not to call again. Then I called my PO and yelled at him for his unauthorized disclosure of my personal information to third parties who were unknown to me. There's a reason I pay for unlisted service!

  So I changed my number and refused to give the elders my new one.

  i have read your posts and am suprised, shocked and disgusted at the fact you still are an active witness who goes to the meetings 70% of the time and at the same time go to apostefests and curse and talk bad about the truth.

  dont you know that the bible said people like you would quietly slip in the congregation and subvert the faith of some?

  Doesn't this tell you anything at all? The fact that people, out of fear of losing their families, feel the need to do this is PROOF that the Watchtower is an authoritarian, abusive cult that unjustly persecutes people who refuse to believe their lies. Yet they are the first to whine if they experience opposition, and they squeal like the pigs they are when someone draws attention to even one of their hundreds of flaws.

  Canadians get a long weekend? I want a long weekend, durn it!

  Not all Canadians get a long weekend right now, just the special ones! We get it in Ontario, but I don't think they have it in Quebec.

  I'm not sure about Nova Scotia.

  a dying mother refused a life-saving blood transfusion despite nurses holding up her new-born son in a desperate attempt attempt to get her to change her mind.

  How sad!

  This jumped out at me too:

  Mrs Christoph died of massive blood loss 13 hours after giving birth to a healthy son, leaving the little boy and a 3 year old daughter to be brought up by her sister in law.

  So what's wrong with the father? He was there when she was dying, and nodding in agreement with her decision to refuse blood. Why do the children have to be brought up by her sister-in-law? Has he already decided to abandon his responsibilities as a father? Will the children lose both parents now?

  Then again, maybe he will use this opportunity™ to expand his ministry™ by pioneering™. Is this how "Jehovah provides"?

  I am not a parrot I will not KEEP answering that same ? over and over again.

  Weren't we all parrots once? Weren't we constantly repeating the nonsensical doctrines of the watchtower as we went from door to door, whether we understood them or not? Wasn't it the "repitition (parroting) for emphasis" that ingrained it all so deeply into our minds?
