i have a friend that is a pioneer and lives in another province.
she calls quite a bit early in the morning to chat, always says to say hi to my husband and children who are not baptized.
i am baptized and i was wondering if she could count her time talking to me.
Hell Yeah! They use any excuse to count time. One elderly sister™ invited a bunch of us to come to her home for lunch one day after service™. After we left, a bethelite™ with us pronounced loudly that he was counting his time because we were encouraging™ her by going there.

i have read your posts and am suprised, shocked and disgusted at the fact you still are an active witness who goes to the meetings 70% of the time and at the same time go to apostefests and curse and talk bad about the truth.

periodically, we should examine ourselves to make sure we are not gradually drifting away from jehovahs thinking and standards.
we might for example ask ourselves: have i become more tolerant of practices that god condemns?

God is free to condemn whatever he wishes, and I am equally free to refrain from doing so. "Judge not, that you might not be judged" comes to mind.
Defd, go to your Watchtower library and search for articles about intolerence. You will quickly see how the JWs are intolerent of the beliefs of others, yet they squeal like pigs when others have a low tolerence for their bullshit.

what would the jehovah's witnesses have to say about eating disorders?
presumably any kind of mental illness is frowned upon and put down to weakness of the spirit.....i know when i was in it, one sister was severely chastised for having depression....she was told to have more faith in jehovah and presumably when she did, her husband would stop beating her and sexually abusing their kids which was understandably the source of her depression!

A conscience is something that has to be trained. We were not born WITH one. We were born with the ability to develope it. Our consciences are trained through Gods word.
I have read "Gods word". It has trained my conscience to believe it's ok to murder my enemies and collect their foreskins.
As far as eating disorders go, I think most JWs eat too much. I certainly did when I was a JW. But it's one of the few vices they can get away with, one of the few things in life they can enjoy.

if you were given a chance to go back to the organizations would you?
I have to admit I miss the conflict of my JW days, and my life has become quite boring. I no longer have the opportunity to give the elders shit for trying to interfere with my private life. Now that I'm shunned no one counsels me for wearing a bright tie, taking a course, or driving a pickup truck. I've been tempted to grow a moustache or beard, but where's the fun in that when no one will counsel me for it? I miss the loving phone calls of the spiritual shepherds asking me for my time™, or to give me shit for not going out in service™. I miss all the light reading in the Watchtower, and now must confine my reading to things that actually make me use my feeble mind. Now that I'm not at meetings anymore I think I'm suffering from sleep deprivation, because I've lost all that valuable nap time.
