What Type of Phone & Phone Service Do You Have?
by minimus ini no longer have a home phone.
i just use use my cell (verizon lg) flip.
i'm thinking of replacing my phone and possibly getting other "toys" like picture taking and so forth...any recommendations?

The ones who know me think I'm some kind of rabid, demonized apostate bastard from hell. I've done a bit of checking around lately and discovered that, after 2 years of my being "out" they're still telling wild stories about me. I've checked with my former neighbours, and sure enough, the JWs, mostly elders, are telling people who have never been JWs, of my "apostate exploits". It's as though they're trying to make it impossible for me to move back to the neighbourhood I grew up in. I wish my life were one-tenth as interesting as they say. It's not as though I did anything to anyone there - I simply wrote the elders a DA letter because I was sick of their nagging me to let them come over to "encourage" me. All their past "encouragement" amounted to little more than trying to pressure me into giving up my career and go out in service™ more. I wanted time to re-evaluate my beliefs, though I never told them I had doubts. I kept my doubts to myself.
Do I care what the JWs think? Not at all. But if the slander in my old community continues I will sue the individuals responsible.

what should i do when friends choose chicks first?

I eat chicks too and also prefer the prehatched variety. But I don't like 'em fat so I get 'em in a carton.
As for clubbing, I prefer to go alone. You never know who you'll meet.

There must be a powerful influence at work for you to be ready to cut off ties with father, mother, sister, aunt, uncle, and grandmother. What are you pursuing that makes that kind of result worthwhile?
You are not the one threatening to cut ties, they are, by employing the Watchtower policy of shunning. How they conveniently twist things to try to make you responsible for the implementation of their policies!
Who are these people you are studying with? What is their background? What are their goals?
The same thing could, and should be asked of the governing body. What does anyone really know of them, their backgrounds, and their motives? What are their credentials? Other than their say so, what proof do they offer to back up their statement that they're the "faithful and discreet slave"?

They Came at me at work.......

they usually come about 3 times a month, to read a scripture or a paragraph from a magazine, to a couple of people.
they then say hello to me, and leave after making their wt and awake placements.

I wouldn't want to be a CO. Aside from all the free meals and other invitations from people as well as the above mentioned benefits, there is a downside. I think I'd eventually tire of having so many people lining up to kiss my ass. The novelty would soon wear off.

About 25 years ago, before I was a JW, I was working in a machine shop when a couple of JWs came in and started witnessing™ to us. My boss had stepped out for a few minutes. They went from person to person and machine to machine trying to sell their watchtowers. It was really stupid of them, considering they had no business being on a factory floor without safety shoes, protective eyewear, etc. Maybe they thought Jehover would protect them from injury.
Just before they got to me my boss came back in and saw them. He immediately screamed at them, telling them to "Get the f*ck out and sell your f*cked up religion somewhere else. I don't pay my guys to listen to your f*cking shit!"
They immediately gave up their pioneer™ stroll and ran like hell for the exit. It made my day.

It sounds more like he's describing the JWs, who have apostosized from their former religions and formed thier cult. And they are well known for their rabid attacks on what they call "false religion". We who have left the watchtower are the ones who have been cured of this loathsome disease.
