Hey, that's burning incense! I used to play with those all the time when I was a kid. (I was also a Catholic alter boy) Whenever my mom smelled smoke on me I'd just tell her it was the incense from church.

I was raised a Catholic, then I was a JW. Since I left the JWs I went to a catholic Church once, for my nephew's wedding. It felt weird being there after so many years. Now my sister is trying to convert me back to Catholicism, but it won't happen. No matter where I go I would probably just sit there and think about how full of shit they are.

one person, whom i dont remember unfortunately, posted how there was proof somewhere that the apostle john was high on poppy seeds during much of the time he was writing the book of revelations, which might explain why he was seeing all those crazy monsters!.
I've never heard of the Apostle John being high, but it would not have been on poppy seeds. According to the site below the seeds develop after the capsule has lost the opium-yielding potential.
Having tried opium back in the old days, I doubt it would have produced the visions John supposedly had. Maybe he just ate some ergot infected rye bread.

like that, they wouldn't need so many elders and ms. they would have plenty of brothers to read and pass the mic.. no where in the bible do they mention how big or small a congregation should be.
if ever one day they have a hard time forming enough ms and elders, wouldn't it be simpler to just make congregations larger?
The WTS encourages congos to split so they can point to this as evidence of "growth." In the past decade or so, this growth has slowed considerably, at least where I live. There've been at least three "splits" in nearby halls in that time period, but there aren't significantly more publishers than there were before -- despite a huge increase in population. What this does is distract the "friends" from worrying about the lack of growth. They just simply shift their story from "we've grown from X publishers to 2X publishers!" to "we've added three more congregations just in the short time I've been here!" It's all about appearances.
That's it. Splitting congregations gives the illusion of growth. They can announce that there are all these new congregations, so "Jehovah must be speeding up the work." But they won't tell you there are fewer members. They do the same with circuits too. I lost track of how many times the circuits and districts were reorganized here, and everyone attributed it to "growth". But the number of publishers™ has decreased, conventions and assemblies are smaller, and fewer people are getting baptized.

i have come to see that you really do not a grasp on the scriptures. You say alot of what you think it means rather than what the bible says it means.You think you know it all already so no one can get anywhere with you. You refuse to except it when you are wrong. That is called haughty. Haughty people are not teachable.
To be completely honest, I think this could be said of most JWs.
