she was interrogated by some elders regarding her choice of underwear.
she was being questionned regarding her conduct with a man and apparently her choice of undergarments reflected the level of intent in her actions.

If they interrogated me about something so personal I'd be raising bloody hell with them. They would not leave the interrogation room unscathed.

by dougpotts incan someone explain fully the restrictions that a jw must accept when dating or trying to date a person not of the same faith - protestant.
can she still date.
is marriage permitted even though objected too by jw.

I dont know what they could do if she simply resigned from the faith and joined another church - my church.
They would shun her. Her family would disown her. She would be treated as though she were dead. She would not be invited to the weddings of other family members. They would not sit and eat a meal with her. They would refuse to respond to her phone calls or letters.
Don't get me wrong - leaving the JWs is the best thing she could do - it's just very hard for those with family who are also JWs.

Welcome to the board!
A JW is not allowed to date someone of another faith. They are strongly adminished to avoid having "worldly" friends. Doing so could result in the JW being shunned by everyone in the faith, including all family members. Their life could turn into pure hell. So could yours if you continue such a relationship.

So, if I understand this correctly, she is saying that Jehovah is providing spiritual food™ to his earthly organization™ by sending them to the "Image of the wild beast", the "disgusting thing that causes desolation", the Satanic United Nations?
She said, I'm sure we will be reading about this in the watchtower!
Since this happened several years ago they're certainly taking their time getting around to it. Or maybe there is still more urgent spiritual food™ to be dispensed, like articles on butterflies and such.
Or maybe they still have UN NGO association, just under a different corporate name we would not immediately recognize.

Books you studied before becoming a JW

back in the mid 80s i studied 2 books, the live forever book and the united in worship of the only true god book, which took quite a bit of time to get through both of them.
now i guess they dont spend as much time with studies?

I studied the Live forever™ and United in Worship™ books. The second book too so long, and we eventually stopped the study. It was kind of silly to keep studying when I was already pioneering™. Besides, it interfered with me getting my time™.
