I'm new....and I have a rant
by Faded-out inok, i apologize for this impromptu introduction/rant, but i am reeling right now and really have no where elso to turn.. let me start off by giving you a little history of what has gotten me to this point.
this post might be a little long, so you might want to dust off those .
reading glasses.. anyways, my parents were baptised as dubs in the pre 1975 frenzy to make it to the new system...if they only knew 30 some odd years later...suprise, we are .

Forbid it at all costs if you can. This was one main reason why I left. If getting a divorce stipulate it in the settlement. Do NOT lose your kid to this religion. PM me if you'd like. I can say more there.

Just remember that if it is in a church, which it sounds like it won't be, he WILL be disqualified as an elder. Having a pastor may be the same thing. This is non-negotiable as far as WT is concerned.

Poor JWs, trying to take an analytical approach to this irrelevant crap. (I empathize as I was one.) People need to go to college.

Shunned by the congregation for not performing
by truthseeker inas many of you know, i am a witness who still attends for the sake of my wife.
my meeting attendance has dropped to about 50% and i make maybe 1 hour a month in field service, although i report more than this to keep the elder's off my back.. after several months of this, the result has been noticeable.. those who used to be friendly and greet me no longer do so.
some even avoid me.

I am going through something similar. I am "marked." Must be since no one talks or calls. It is amazing to be weak after only eight months ago being on assemblies. Further I was a little surprised on how isolated one becomes if one doesn't keep "on the treadmill." No wonder I worked so hard when I was "in."

My Bethel Experience Part 9
by new boy inthe the worst thing, someone could call you at bethel, was a "jack".............. as in " that guy is a real jack, he doesn't work at all".
the other term not used very much anymore, was "pot licker" used basically the same way.there has been some bad things done at bethel.
you name it, someone has done it...........but the absolute worst possible thing, a bethelite could do is be a theft!

I love those stories of affairs and sex. Incredible, the way I used to think that this couldn't happen at Bethel.

Letter to the Org
by sandy ini'm writing a letter to the org and i'm wondering what will happen if i send it.
i make no mention of the dates of the events that took place back in 1999. i just wrote that i am in active and stubled.
i also accuse the local elders and org of handling the situation wrong.

Hey, I know how this feels having just done it. I know how it feels too on some level to want them to track it back to you. If you leave no trace they probably will not find you. They haven't found me yet. But if they do or if you reveal yourself, they will contact your elders and the chase begins. First to "encourage" you, then to df you if you are unresponsive or "unrepentant." Sending a letter can be very satisfying. Also satisfying can be posting it here. I did that and posted at one other JW forum. I have gotten a great response from that. Nothing from Watchtower.

Its the flavor of the monthy with them to proclaim the imminent end and take a stand against family members. I hate that religion too.
