In my eleven years "sexual immorality" was the predominant reason. Sadly most JWs don't see the BS. Those who do try to leave quietly or stay in because of family but have little or no zeal. At least that's what I observed.

Being that WT had convinced me to believe that we weren't a cult, I didn't pay much attention to this incident. Tonight therefore was very enlightening. I didn't realize that a U.S. Congressman was killed investigating this. If only the government had used this as a springboard to research cults and HCG's....

A Divorce Win

as some of you may remember i have been embroiled in a divorce for the past year and a half.

i had helped my wife to see the reality of the jws.

but she ran back to it and that complicated things.

momscrazy, if I do I don't know about it. Being a dub totally isolated me from any non-Witness family. Which is most of them.

On the divorce now the plot thickens. After the fact she now says she can't sign. She says the proposed language crimps her Constitutional rights she says. Its going to piss off the judge. We all had this wording agreed to. Well I have to figure this one out. She didn't question the blood. So that's half the battle.

As some of you may remember I have been embroiled in a divorce for the past year and a half. I had helped my wife to see the reality of the JWs. But she ran back to it and that complicated things. Then SHE filed a groundless divorce, groundless by New york State and WT rules. The info received from some of you was instrumental in setting me in the right direction on how to argue the case. Today, while the paperwork needs to be finalized by the judge I have a legally binding settlement. I have joint custody of my daughter with minimal child support considering what most men have to deal with. Additionally the settlement is big to an ex-JW for two reasons.

One, we successfully inserted iron clad language that gives me sole jurisdiction on blood related matters. All other medical matters are jointly decided. This is backed by the findings of a court appointed forensic psychologist.

Second I was able to get language stipulating that my daughter is NOT to be inducted as a "publisher" or "baptized" without the consent of BOTH parents while still a minor. I believe its VERY important for non-JWs in custody battles to secure wording that prohibits "publishing" by the minor children. This is important because it is publishers that are counted as JWs. Baptism is but a clever formality in this religion. Further a minor publisher can still be ostracized if they become involved in "wrongdoing".

Anyway my journey continues.

he is just at the tip of the iceberg, and the jehovah's witnesses are for sure one of the largest mind control cults that needs to be investigated.

I am an active elder and I voted today!

today is a proud day for me.

i became part of my fellow citizens in this country by casting my vote.

it was a thrilling experience (more like a disney ride really, since the line wasn't that long).
