i am posting the photos because i get sad sometimes about people being forgotten who tried so hard, even though they were wrong.
the cemetery is pretty easy to find, if you have any interest in finding it.
I remember being taken to see Knorr's grave with its tiny stone. Even then I thought it was a sorry way to show respect for his life's work
Excellent point. Of course in dubland, one is not supposed to glorify the individual. All glory must go to Jehovah. Don't eulogize the dead they say. It's sad because wouldn't glorifying the person also give glory to their Creator?

For all the visits I've paid to the Farm, I've never been to the "Launching Pad". I'm kind of amazed at Max and Sam Friend, Knorr, Swingle and Co. Amazing that they had no family to care for their remains. Or maybe they just felt that WT was their life, better to be interred there as well. Anyway, it's kind of sad, particularly Maxwell Friend. I liked him.

today at the meeting we were told by the co, that we got a gift three months ago!
the gift we got is the one more free evening weekly, because of the new meeting arrangement.
this gift was given to us by jehovah through faithfull an discreet slave.
They were told that gas prices were too high and the loving thing was to eliminate a meeting and stay home with the family
at the same time pushing them out in service and waste money on gas.

alanv, that would always bother me too. They always have to out some divine intervention in the mix. Can't just be people trying to get a job done. And why do they want to work JW's so darned hard? Wasn't Jesus' load supposed to be kindly, light and refreshing? I mean they'd get such better response if they just said "Hey, we are giving you this evening to take care of your family as you see fit. Catch up on time with your spouse or kids, get the kids' HW done, relax, whatever you need". That would be true mercy. And dubs would love their leadership more for it.

over the past three years i have dropped a few points about why i am no longer attending meetings .
nothing in depth .. i did stress alot of it was due to never feeling good enough , the emotional pressure to follow organizational rules over my own conscience and my personal objection of how education is discouraged .
i also have shared with my kids their whole life that when i was raised ,armegeddon fears were rammed down my throat ,something i refused to do to them .. i have worried excessivly how my older two sons would respond to me once they realized i am never going back .. well my son came home for a visit to go out and celebrate my birthday this weekend !
Wow, that must be a great feeling. Let's hope his research continues.

can someone please help me with a verse on "taming wild animals before the floods"?.
Dubs say as mentioned that "a fear" of man was put in to the animals AFTER the flood. I never could understand how that statement in Genesis meant that now the animals would be aggressive. If they were afraid of man wouldn't they be LESS likely to attack man? Oh well not much about that story seems to make sense.
