shawshank redemption: if you've ever "served time" at bethel, you can't help but connect with this film.
institutionalization, mental persecution and "andy dufrene crossing through 500 yards of shit, came out clean on the other side.

They Came at me at work.......
by delilah inthere is a "sister" and her daughter, that come to visit different ones at my place of business.
they usually come about 3 times a month, to read a scripture or a paragraph from a magazine, to a couple of people.
they then say hello to me, and leave after making their wt and awake placements.

delilah - I can understand your frustrations with that. It almost makes me feel like they don’t respect that you’re busy doing your job. I hated it when I was with people in service that wanted to witness to people working. I never could understand that one, after all I remember the talks about how when we were at work we should make sure as to not rip our employer off with our time spent working.

Poverty in Poland
by katiekitten inim watching the bbc now, and theres a report about ex coal miners in poland.
they have no jobs, and so instead they attack coal trains, hang onto the side and pull the wagon doors open while the train in moving.
then people move in and collect the spilled coal from the side of the tracks.

constantly spewing nonsense from his big gob.... anyway now he has started up this did you know topic about the church's involvement in america's government.. one of his did you knows is:did you know?
every session of congress begins with a prayer by a paid preacher, whose salary has been paid by the taxpayer since 1777.. .

Embarrassing moments at work
by damselfly ini think we need a fun fluffy thread today, so this is my attempt at starting one.
at work we have a big bathtub with air jets.
clients come in for a hydrobath, (hopefully remember their swimsuit 'cause i've seen so many naked people by now it's getting boring), leave and then, oh joy!, i get to clean the tub.

When I worked at an apartment complex, we would get some of the mail parcels for the people who lived there inside of the office. We didn’t have any mailboxes that could accommodate larger packages.
The mail carrier often forgot to place a slip in their box to let them know to pick up their parcel inside of the office, so I would try to be aware whenever they would come inside to rent movies or whatever.
On several occasions I would say really cheerfully, “YOU HAVE A HUGE PACKAGE!” It didn’t help that it almost always happened to be a man I said this to. And my eyes would get huge as I realized how this sounded. I gave out the parcel as fast as I could and everyone in my office would laugh so hard after the guy left. Every time was as embarrassing as the last but I just could not stop myself from saying it!
