For the ladies. Do you think that when you.....
by NotaNess indress to impress, get all slathered up and have your little or lots of flesh showing, depending on your blouse, skirt, pants or shorts....that people(men) are not supposed to stare at you?.
seriously, if your at home in your closet deciding which outfit you're gonna wear to work, school or out to play, and thinking how you'll look more attractive in this or that....do you not know that guys are gonna stare at you?
but you see these females on occasion that will get all in an uproar when some guy is staring at them....but hello...didn't you choose with pin-point accuracy, the exact top that's gonna reveal your cleavage at it's fullest?????

I don't know what NotaNess intentions were with starting this thread other than the original post I read of his.
People telling him to grow up because he asked a question and phrased it in a way they don't agree with I found a little harsh.
His comment here:Funny, how I'm trying to encourage the ladies(but not in the easiest of ways), to not dress so revealing, and to actually GET a little more respect from people
I found completely unnecessary and don't exactly see where that comes into play with the discussion- I don't think any grown woman needs to be encouraged in how you think she should dress. At least I certainly don't want your advice on the matter.
It's been said by me and others and I will say it again; SOME women purposely dress revealing because they WANT to be looked, it is a fact and to say that's just not so is incomprehensible to me. Making any moral judgment on these people or how they choose to dress to go to the grocery store is not my intention here.
In fact I know someone that I stopped doing things in public with (and I think this is a very valid point to this discussion) because of this. She was a very curvy girl who wouldn't wear undergarments of any kind then dress incredibly provocatively which made it only obvious she had no undergarments on. Now I don't care if someone doesn't want to wear undergarments but I don't want to be shown that you don't wear them (because it's very visible with the clothes you chose to then wear). Anyway this girl would then make a huge scene and completely embarrass me and everyone around when people would look at her. She would yell at them saying "keep your eyes to yourself" and things like that. I know her I know she loved the attention she got and I have since seen in my lifetime many women who seem to be subscribers to this same sort of "fashion" sense as some have described it. I don't care how anyone dresses as long as it doesn't affect me. But I strongly believe and will continue to believe that this is something some women do because they like the attention. Even if it is not positive attention. I do believe there is a valid point in that statement that NotaNess made with his first post on this topic, although I can't say I agree with much else I've read from him thereafter. -

Am I too old?
by changeling infor a small, discreetly placed, tastefull tatoo?.
i'm thinking of my children's initials in celtic letters intertwined, no larger than a fifty cent priece, on the left side of my upper back (shoulder).
would only be visible in a bathing suit.. i'm 48 .. what do you guys honestly think?.

Too old? No I don't think so, that sounds well thought out and tasteful. I know a woman in her late 60's who just got a small rose tattoo there. -

... oh no, sorry, not that she's a head case needing help. But she's kidding herself if she thinks she can flash the world and think they'll respect her enough not to look.
Yep, I think that applies to women or men though. If you have the "goodies" out, people are going to look. I mean at least I know I do and I'm into men. Although I have to say the men with extremely short shorts thing repulses me and I have been known to look away, far far away... -

Saw a babelet recently who was wearing a tight red low-cut t-shirt that had in print across her Chest Region the words 'My Eyes Are Up There' with an arrow in the appropriate direction. I can't actually imagine any hetero male within 100m of her not looking at her breasts that day.
This is exactly what I mean. There's "fashion" and then there's "flashing". Of course what I am agreeing to is that they should be expecting to be looked at (not raped, groped or otherwise). I think if a woman dresses that way and acts "surprised" that you are looking at her body then she is a head case and needs help. -

Ok so much for reading the thread without commenting, now I feel I have to. I'll probably get flamed by the women for this ~ and FYI, I prefer medium rare.
But yeah I know what you mean, I do think some women dress provocatively, expecting to be noticed. Sometimes thought, you happen to get "oogled" when your dressed down, no make up, glasses and you think you're inconspicuous. That's when it's just wrong ~ mainly because you feel you look like crap and you don't want to be noticed.
I've never personally dressed up to look good only to get mad when I got "oogled". I think had I not been "oogled" I'd have been upset or felt maybe I just didn't have it anymore ;-) -
