I'm starting to develop a real hatred toward this religion
by man in black inthis past week i flew out of town to attend a seminar for work, then afterwards i drove 150 miles extra to go and visit my dad.. two years ago my mom died, and the lack of concern/caring from the so-called "friends" from two different states was a major reason why i walked away from the jw religion.. anyway, my dad is depressed and his local hall has him doing more fs, and attending the meetings,,, ok so that could be a good thing for him.. but i noticed that service and meeting attendance is the only thing that they are pushing on him.
nobody seems to check up on him, he just jumped at the chance to go out to eat with me.
and the negativity !!!

Thank you.
''Parents can inform the court that they are refusing blood on deeply held religious grounds but are not refusing medical care and have no intention of 'martyring' their child.
This setting may not be the best time for parents to mention their strong faith in the resurrection, as this may convince the judge that they are unreasonable.''

Keep Abstaining from Coffee

For example, caffeine makes up only 33% of coffee granules and are therefore viewed as a fraction of the drink known as coffee and can no longer be viewed as 'coffee'.
Also, as white sugar makes up only 96% of brown sugar (i.e. no molasses added) it can rightly be viewed as a fraction of brown sugar and is also an allowable fraction.
Whilst on the subject molasses are also a fraction of brown sugar and may also be taken as a food/beverage if required in an emergency as long as not at the same time as the white sugar from which it was removed.

Yes very nice of them.
I notice too, that it states
'' average age 33''
average years since baptism 17.9''
They could have said instead that the average age that they got baptised was 15. That's quite young isn't it.

No. Definitely not. Do you think I'm stupid.
I believe that it was a very well put together hoax for the purposes of getting one up on the ruskies and chinks and not losing face to the rest of the world.
I realize that it was very very difficult to pull off but so successful was it, that Nasa decided to pull the wool over everyone's eyes once again four month later when they pretended that Pete Conrad and Alan Bean (Apollo 12) also landed on the moon.
Just over a year later (Apollo 14) Alan Shepard and Edgar Mitchell also didn't land on the moon.
The level of secrecy involved in perpetuating the hoax was so good that as a matter of pride Nasa decided once more to not send David Scott and James Irwin (Apollo 15) to the moon just six months later.
Nine months on and flushed with the success of not getting caught out, once more Nasa didn't send John Young and Charles Duke (Apollo 16) to walk on the moon.
Just for the hell of it and as a big 'up yours' to the world they finally decided that Eugene Cernan and Harrison Scmitt (Apollo 17) would be the last people to not walk on the moon.
After three and a half years of these stage setups and pretend 'moonwalks' they, Nasa, finally realized that it would become more and more difficult to keep a tight lid on the level of deceit involved especially after word leaked out that Hollywood were going to make that damn film Capricorn One.
How any sane person can believe otherwise beats me.

Why don't JWs celebrate Thanksgiving
by levicolemagic inmy first post here.
i wrote this little article about why jws don't celebrate thanksgiving.. check it out here: http://hubpages.com/hub/what-jehovahs-witnesses-believe.

Put it this way.
I don't know of any Witnesses in the UK that would have a turkey dinner get together on any day in November. Why not? Is it because no one else here celebrates something called Thanksgiving?
So why would any Witness in the USA have a turkey dinner get together any time around the 4th Thursday in November? Is it because everyone else there celebrates something called Thanksgiving?

Sayings of Everlasting Life heard "Nowhere Else" but in JW Organization?
by InterestedOne ini just finished reading the 9/15/2010 wt study edition article for nov 8-14, and the last few sentences of paragraph 7 on page 18 jumped out at me.
referring to the "one association" which i assume means the jw organization, the author says "... where else can we turn?
nowhere else can we hear the sayings of everlasting life.

Swiss TV Program My reaction to the TV forum participants
by Nick! inswiss tv program my reaction to the tv forum participants.
this afternoon, william heinzer, the journalist who, together with florence, were responsible for the swiss tv program called me and confirmed that, although this program on jehovahs witnesses has been the one which had the highest number of interventions in the tv forum, they had to withdraw the forum, because of the atrocious allegations made against myself and my two kids, fulvio and amanda.. i planned to copy and publish on my site, a selection of the jw and ex.jw posts, just to show the low moral of these people, who pretend to worship the true god.
even ex-jw, whom i know pretty well, and who were expelled for immorality, but still believe the jw are jehovahs only people, have spit their venom against us.

Hi ''Interested One''
Thanks for joining and posting such well thought out comments and questions. You seem to me to be like the child seeing 'the emperors new clothes'. It'll get worse as you're only scratching the surface. What seems sad is that your female friend will eventually no longer be your friend. She has two persons inside her.
1)The friend that you have come to like and associate with
2)The JW who will struggle to cope with the cognitive dissonance that you will bring her.
And thanks Black Sheep for that 1943 Watchtower article.
You have to laugh otherwise you'd cry at the stupidity of it.
