  attorneys representing the mostly native american and alaskan native victims said the abuse added to the mistreatment already endured by these children, some of whom were forcibly removed from their homes to attend these schools.. .

  If there was a god and it could spare the time to be concerned about a miniscule little backwater of the universe that we call the Milky Way, I'd imagine it doesn't care one iota what happens to small versions of the highest evolved lifeform currently dwelling on the 3rd planet of one of its billions of stars.

  Nothing the Catholic Church heirarchy will ever do, will ever make me leave the Catholic Church.

  It is very regrettable that they have allowed ordained priests to be in a postion to abuse little children but this will not detract from my faith in the Church.

  The Catholic Church is God's true religious organization, so there.

  No matter how evil the things they may do are, the fact remains that I'm still a good Catholic.

  What Time were your Meeting Times?

  i read some postings here earlier where some were saying they had never heard of meetings staring at 7pm.

  i may have misunderstood.. were/are there different start times elsewhere?

  our times in uk were.

  Our times in UK were

  Tuesday 7pm-8pm Group Study

  Thursday 7pm -9pm Kingdom Ministry School and Service Meeting

  Sunday 10am -12pm Public Talk and Watchtower Study

  When two congregations shared a hall then the Tuesday and Thursday would swap and the Sunday would be 2pm - 4pm

  We follow the Bible command, found at Acts 15:20, Acts 21:25, and elsewhere, that Christians must "abstain from . . . blood." Jehovah's Witnesses request the use of nonblood medical alternatives, which are widely accepted and used by the medical community.

  Alternatives to blood transfusions

  Jehovah's Witnesses request nonblood alternatives, which are widely used and accepted by the medical community. We do this because of the Bible's command to "keep abstaining from . . . blood." (Acts 15:29; see also Genesis 9:3, 4; Leviticus 7:26, 27; 17:1, 2, 10-12; Deuteronomy 12:23-25.) While we refuse blood for religious rather than medical reasons, many have acknowledged that this refusal has helped the Witnesses to avoid contracting many costly and fatal diseases such as AIDS and hepatitis.

  Since the Bible makes no clear statement about the use of minor blood fractions or the immediate reinfusion of a patient's own blood during surgery, a medical process known as blood salvaging, the use of such treatments is a matter of personal choice.''

  So, why don't you accept blood transfusions? Christians must 'abstain from.....blood'. That's it. Is that perhaps up for interpretation? Nope, that's it.

  Since the Bible makes no clear statement about the use of the four main blood components, um oops sorry. Got carried away.

  This is the main world wide web international awareness site for the dissemination of information to the world's media of why all 7 million JW's believe that transfusing blood is wrong.

  JWs pronounce the “popular” version of God’s name…

  growing up jw, the elders in my congo never wasted an opportunity to remind the youth in my congo that we should always endeavor to do what is correct in gods eyes, not what the world considers to be popular.

  this would cover just about every subject (clothing, music, sports, entertainment, etc.)..

  however, when it comes to the one thing that should probably matter the most to all jay dubs (correctly pronouncing gods name), popularity takes precedence over correctness.

  Jesus used God's name, Jehovah, in his ministry and demonstrated a correct pronunciation of it, but he did more than that to make God's name manifest to his apostles
