Where (Who) in the World is Hibiscusfire?
by Big Dog ini noticed that hibie hasn't posted since the dating thread where it was pointed out that she borrowed some of her material from other websites, blogs, etc.. hibie has quickly become a fixture here with her threads that draw responses like crazy and her unusual preaching style.
i don't think i am alone in wondering just who she really is since she seems to avoid all questions directed to her about who she is, how she came to this website, what she is trying to accomplish.. she has been called everything from mentally ill, to born again, to a troll by those on the board.. hibie, in all seriousness, i'd really like to know who you are and how you got here.
if you are a teenager having fun, that's okay, but some of the stuff on this forum isn't really appropriate for a younger teen.

SHOULD JWS OWN A TV/TELEPHONE ETC?

i understand that tv and possibly telephone have spiritualistic connections, according to a programme science and seances on bbc 2 yesterday.. in view of the connections with spiritualism, should a jw own either of these items?.
doesn't it say not to have anything to do with mediums in the bible?

Smells that evoke memories...
by LittleToe inisn't it funny how certain smells can have a strong effect in evoking distant memories?.
i was reminded of this when i just opened my desk drawer.
a little earlier today i bought a local newspaper (which is unusual for me) and didn't have time to read it so i stuck it in the drawer.

There is this perfume called Design that my mother used to wear. I love the smell of it. It reminds me of hugging her. I was interested once in a girl who wore this perfume. I had to stop flirting with her because it reminded me so much of my mother

I am constantly being told that my voice carries. I have noticed however a complete change of demeanor when speaking to householders by many. I would make fun of my mother for it all of the time. I notice myself changing the pitch of my voice when speaking. This is to compensate for the fact that I live in Kansas city (from Los Angeles), work at an engineering firm doing pc work, have corn rowed braids and am muscular. I am told that I intimidate, which is never the intention. I find myself compensating so as not to scare

I dunno. I can truly see it from both sides. If I owned a storefront that had supplies, in these conditions I'd open the door and declare it free-for-all. Insurance would cover damage and loss. My heart could not manage knowing that what I was "protecting" could save lives. It makes no sense in the human context to place a higher value on possesions be they food, water, medical supplies, etc than on life.
