satan was created as a righteous angel, "he did not stand fast in the truth".
he is called "satan," or "resister," because he has opposed and resisted jehovah.. so whos to say the perfect humans in paradise wont "oppose" or "resist" jehovah after christs thousand year reign.
after all their is no jw teaching which says the devil was decieved by anyone infact it was down to greed.
....ever notice that sense the beginning of time, creation of earth, creation of man, creation of animals, jehovah has constantly been "fixn'" his mistakes? time after time. makes one wonder, if jah is perfect, his angels were perfect, mankind "was" perfect, what exactly is "perfect?"
.... would "attaining perfection" be something any better than what we have right now ????

my 15 year old phoned her jw father tonight.
a relationship between the two does not exist.
(i have touched on the reason why in other posts regarding both my children).
....................the "water" that flows from the wacktower(wtbs) is thicker than "blood." they have always felt that the "sickciety" was more important than family.follow the rules or else!! it is too bad your ex doesn't realize how much he is hurting your daughter....or maybe he just doesn't care. i am sorry she & yourself has to endure such treatment.kudos to your husband for being a "real man & father."

anybody have any yesterday or in the past during holiday gatherings?.
i kind of expect for there to be tensions with some people over the holidays because it can be stressful...but i also think that since my siblings and i didn't grow up celebrating anything that it adds an extra tension and can sometimes cause fights.
any experiences?

in the past 28 years since leaving jwville, i have not experienced any family brawls @ christmas or thanksgiving with 2nd wifes( non jw,married 25 years) family.
although, after being out of the "troof" only a few years, went to my jw mom & dad's non "thanksgiving" day turkey dinner, only to be accussed by over zealous younger jw brother of returning to satans world, loosing his temper to the point of physical violence & having to take him to the ground & subdue him. needless to say, very upsetting to all there. truly, jahs spirit was guiding him to put me on the "path of rightousness." since, he has been df'd 3 times.....email him often, don't know if he is still doing the jw thing or not.....hope for his sanity, he is not.

in another effort to crimp the production of materials, the society is asking jw members to consider reducing their orders of watchtower & awake!
audio recordings.. at service meetings this week, a letter is read to the congregation:.
publishers are asked to "conserve contributed funds" by considering which of the 3 formats of audio recording they really need.

i will post this in 6 parts, to give people a chance to read smaller chunks and comment on them.. a couple of introductory notes: i wrote an awful lot of stuff, and will not post everything.
for each talk, i will post 3 sections: (1) general synopsis, (2) personal thoughts & observations, (3) particularly egregious quotations.. the primary speakers, who delivered more than 1/2 of the talks, were a circuit overseer and a guest from brooklyn bethel.. to protect anonymity, we will refer to the sadly inane circuit overseer as brother sico.. and the old-timer lifelong brother from bethel, completely out of touch, as brother bethel-coot.. one more introductory comment: it seems the main points the society wanted to send to elders were:.
Fully 25% of the publishers in the US are in Spanish congregations. (Spanish congregations have great success in the ministry-Imagine what the % increase/decrease of publihers is for the English speakers, given that growth is flat in the US!)
