Oh, a Buddhist, is Korea's first conscientious objector outside the Jehovah's Witness faith. There are now 1,600 Jehovah's Witnesses in prison for refusing to perform military service, according to Chung Woon-young of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Korea, an organization that represents the minority religious group
Thanks for posting that, Kay.
hey guys good news my wife is showing how faithful she is today by not going to the assembly today with the kids.she don't go out in service with the kids and is irregular at the meetings screwing up my private tyme.
i use to argue with my wife about taken my kids to the hall and service and she would go.
now i do the opposite and she don't go, i leave all my anti jw books and tapes around i do know she .
Bernard,
Thanks!!!
That is excellent advice.

Bernard,
I am kind of in the same situation you are. We have the CO visiting this weekend and my wife is staying home from FS cutting into my private time too.
She KNOWS this is not the truth but says she will never stop going to the meetings.
Waiting on Jah to straighten things out ya know.

what beliefs of jehovah's witnesses set them apart as different from other religions?
Here is the link to that story

I found it interesting too.
We would love to tell people what we believe," Forbes says. "But they don't want to question us."If anyone did question them they would not hear the whole story.

in the organization, we had [have] limited choices of who can be our friends.
oftentimes, we had [have] to deal with many people we did [do] not like and pretend to be their friends.
of course, we also had [have] to deal with people who carry a lot of baggage and it was difficult.
Kay,
That is great advice.
Thanks for posting.
just wanted to let everyone know that we had a great christmas.
my husband allowed my mother to come to our house over the holidays, and she was fine until christmas day.
we got invited over to my non-witness family's house for dinner, and my mother initially accepted the invitation, however, when it was time for us to depart, she indicated she was sick and decided not to go.
Kay,
I am glad you are here also.
I know where you are coming from when you say you need a listening ear.
I feel that way a lot too. Just need someone to talk to who understands the way I feel.

last night we were discussing the "new light" that was revealed to the gb recently from jehovah.
many of us recall all the co talks and elder parts based on the bible text of how a true servant of jah would not be "inactive or irregular" for years one was required to have at least one hour to be considered a servant of jah.. as the sec in my hall i recall so many times calling up friends to get thier time and hearing them break crying cause they didn't have 60min only about 45min- and they knew that it meant they were not servants of jah.
now with the new light from jw a person with only 14 minutes of time will now be disqualified as being a servant of jah.. it is amazing how many jw will view this arrangement as a "loving provision from jah" instead of realizing that thier service to thier god has been reduced to whether they get 15min or 14 min.
JT,
A very awesome post!!!!
it is official in usa.
the announcement was made at the service meeting.. letter read due to cost of postage...once your subsription expires it will not be renewed.

If this was really a concern, they would have never put out the WT CD library which was a WT critic's dream.
I was thinking about this just last night and I personally feel that they had no idea that the WT CD library could be so useful to their critics.
I used it last night to do some research on their past teachings and came up with some findings that really shocked me.
I was able to show my Jdub wife right from their own publications what they teach. She was amazed at what we were able to find out all the way back to the 1950 WT.
