my mom had no idea what I was talking about when I asked her also. So I second the request. What were the question? What are they now?

When we were at the KH one night, my mom was talking to another sister and I kept trying to get her attention but she was ignoring me. I was probably 6 or 7 years old. I was standing in front of her and put my hands on her boobs (cupped them) and bounced them while saying "mom, mom, mom" over and over again until she finally answered me. She was very upset with me....

What is truly sickening is that the populace turns a blind eye and can't be bothered to object anymore. The politicians have done a wonderful job of destroying democracy and twisting people to where they want them.
I think people are tired of this war and the whole Bush administration. Nothing anyone does seems to make a difference. Bush does what Bush wants to do; to hell (literally) with everyone else. Bush's approval rating is at the lowest in history yet nothing changes.
I won't pretend I know what is needed in terms of empeaching a president, but I would support that wholeheartedly.
Bush's friends are making a lot of money from what they have done in Iraq. It is obscene.
I read somewhere that when you die you have to experience all the things you have caused others to have to live through. I hope that is true. -

Newspaper Article on JWs today - Write the paper - PLEASE!!
by Seeker4 intoday's sunday, claremont, nh eagle times has an interesting article on jws - inspired in part by a quick build kingdom hall going up this weekend in rockingham, vt.. here's the link: eagle times article october 23, 2005. i thought the article was good, but may have gone a bit easy on the witnesses.
no mention of witness shunning, the dateline expose, silentlambs, the blood issue, witness beliefs, etc.
also a bit confusing is the assertion of the tremendous growth rate at the same time that the article states that baptisms have dropped off 33% in the us since the mid-90s (holy shit!

This is what I wrote:
I enjoyed your article regarding Jehovah's Witnesses. I think it is very important for people to see the REAL truth behind the facade of this cult. Schram said, "We’re not a cult. We’re not a sect. We’re just an organization trying to follow in Jesus’ footsteps to the best of our ability.” Ask him what will happen if he chooses not to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses anymore. Will those IN the organization follow in Jesus' footsteps and treat him as a Christian should treat another? If he is honest the answer will be "NO". If this "organization" doesn't treat its fellow man in a Christian manner doesn't that beg the question, "Are they truly a Christian organization"? When an organization seeks to control all aspects of its member’s lives, even life and death issues, demanding unconditional obedience, doesn't that put them into the category of a cult.

the insurgents are still convinced that saddam is going to return to power.

Yeah I figured the only way to get Oki at her game was to find out what she was talking about.

Jehovah's Witnesses tend to believe they are above the law because "they obey god as ruler rather than man". This fact and its implications are VERY important in the medical situation.
This persons actions already showed that they can not be trusted with confidential issue since they couldn't even act professionally at the very fundemental level of their job (receptionist = greeting patients/clients). If the company is unwilling to remove her from this position, I would proceed with the human rights violation complaint. Just my opinion.

That is because JW's take Hebrews 11:1 to the extreme. "Faith is the assured expectation of things not yet seen." I have to admit faith is a very strong motivation, but when the evidence continues to mount that it just aint gonna happen, you gotta bail.
With the Iraqis, as long as he (Saddam) is alive, I can see where they will have faith that he is coming back. They don't know any other way.
