Today is My Daughers Birthday

my youngest daughter is 25 years old today.

my wife fixed dinner, made a cake and we fixed ice cream.

we got her a present or two and just enjoyed her company.

Thanks beck and andy for a lovely day, still not impressed andy wouldn't let me near the kitchen after all my dub training too, the conversation was.... lets say stimulating, the company was great and the food sensational.......but i missed the drinking this time, damn, coke is just not the same as vodka.... RF, did you say alex was demonic, i thought he was angelic , once again thanks beck andy for opening up your house to us.

Hi all....above message from me was a group thing...if you were wondering what I was talking about...I claim no liability for it lol.

It was lovely to see Prisca, Mr and Mrs Ozzie, Hippikon, Kep and Family. At our end we have Chezza & hubby, Hellraizer & hubby, Pappusan, Refiners and myself.

We now have very full bellies (as always...looking after our inner selves)...and with a drink in hand...kids playing video games...we are now enjoying a leisurely afternoon chatting with our neighbours...it is so nice to see someone on the other side laughing at my dry jokes haha.

Giving thanks in restaurants!

when i was in dub-dom....i used to hate eating out....my ex always made us bow our heads and close our eyes tight shut while he gave thanks out loud.

did you do that in public??

or did you do it discreetly with your head bowed but eyes not shut....or.....head in hand...hoping people would think u were in deep thought?

Interesting topic beck,

We used to have our eyes opened and the husband would say the prayer and we would all say amen quietly, i feeel there wasn't a need for a public display........ Occasionally we would actually pray in the car before we went in..... The classic was when i was driving and we went through drive through at Mc Donalds, everyone else in the car would bow their heads and pray and i feel so funny that i had my eyes open and head not bowed.....

JW Family Tries Black-Mailing Me

i have spent the last week or so with my sister and bro-in-law and my 6year old niece, all jws.

they live in a town not too far away from me, and i visit them every couple of months or so.

my sister and i are close, not extremely so, but we appreciate each other as we have no other bros & sisters, our mother died 21yrs ago, and our father treats us as though we are dead too (due to non-jw issues).. last time i went to visit them, my bro-in-law asked my niece to ask me if i'd go to the meeting.
