i remember all too well because my ex was a elder we were called to give evidence against my sister who was living in sin as the saying goes, btw she was also inactive but they didnt care, to cut a long story short she was disfellowshipped just days before her wedding and i was told by the elders that i couldnt go, nice one, and boy did i feel like crap.

DUMB-ASS JW QUOTE OF THE DAY
by TR infrom "just jws" site http://communities.msn.co.uk/justjws/general.msnw?action=get_message&mview=0&id_message=476&lastmodified=4675361990416533398.
firstly may i state i have not visited or am aware of the site you visited, but if i may offer a reply.
we have ones who were former child abusers as we have ones who were former murderers etc etc, we do monitor these ones for the safety of our congregations and to uphold jehovah's clean standards.

please dont get me started on the child molesters, i can only say i hope the elders feel guilty about not doing anything about a certain child abuser who then went on to abuse others.

Knock Knock...
by KistByQpid ini'd be interested in hearing some of the exjw's door-to-door experiences.
i've probably had the saturday morning door knocking...maybe 6-8 times.
i've never been "rude" except for once...when i had a particularly aggressive pair who wouldn't take "no thank you" for an answer.

i was 4 when my became a jw, so i grew up going door to door asa kid i absolutely hated it, i remember one time i was out and i thought i was in a area where i didnt have school friends, boy was i wrong, i happened to be witnessing with this brother who was pretty forceful in his opinions, and he had been talking at this door, and going on and on as they do, anyway we got around the other side of the block and i saw a friend from school, so i went all red and wished i could die but alas she said nothing, that is until i got to school the next day and she told me she saw me and i said to her i was just going for a walk, and she then told me she been behind the door that this brother had been going on and on and at, needless to say it went all over school that i was a bible basher.
I remember another time as an adult that i was out in the service and this european woman started hassling me, she was telling me off for having my children out in the service and that i should be at home cleaning my house.... how many of us would rus out the door to go in service without doing the beds and dishes before we left... but on thsi one day i had everything done at home so i proudly said to her your welcome to come home and see if my house is clean, and as to my children being out in the fresh air, would you rather they be at home in front of the telly? that pretty much shut her up.

Contradictions-1/1/02 WT
by Mister Biggs inscanned for your convenience.. contradiction #1:.
um, doesn't the gb elevate itself above the so-called 'rank and file'?
not to mention the elders, the minsterial servants, the pioneers, auxillary pioneers, co's, do's, and attendants.

An intersting thing is that back in the early days sisters did serve as servants and did give talks and hold down responsibiltys, and then things changed, i wonder how the sisters who did have positions in the cong feel about the useless men who are not doing their job properly and i wonder if inside they think a woman could do it better, i'm not saying men are useless but when it comes to organizing things some woman just have the touch.

so the wtbts might not forgive suicide but a loving god might very well, maybe they will change the light on this subject soon though.

i found this intersting comment on http://www.watchtower.org/library/g/2000/2/22/article_02.htmFamily members in these circumstances may feel that they are truly under extreme pressure, beyond their strength. Yet, never forget that Jehovah God raises up the dead and that this might well include our loved ones who because of depression, mental illness, or despair took their own lives.—See "The Bible's Viewpoint: Suicides—A Resurrection?" in Awake! of September 8, 1990, pages 22-3.
While suicide cannot be justified, it is comforting to remember that the future prospects of our loved ones rest with a God who fully understands that weaknesses and frailties could push one to such desperate action. The Bible says of Jehovah: "As the heavens are higher than the earth, his loving-kindness is superior toward those fearing him. As far off as the sunrise is from the sunset, so far off from us he has put our transgressions. As a father shows mercy to his sons, Jehovah has shown mercy to those fearing him. For he himself well knows the formation of us, remembering that we are dust."—Psalm 103:11-14.
