I'm really starting to get a kick out of how bitter conservatives are right now. Even when President Obama does things that conservatives should like, such as cutting taxes for the middle class, they bitch and moan. I still remember the gleeful little repug-Nazis running around Florida in 2000 with "Sore Loserman" t-shirts on.
Could it be that you guys are starting to realize just how long 4 years really is? Or even worse that pumping billions of dollars into the middle class is likely to maintain the Presidents high approval ratings leading to a second term? Or how about the realization that the good old conservative playbook doesn't work anymore, and the louder you guys scream "big government" and "socialism," the deeper the Republican party slips into political irrelevancy?
The latest idea out of the GOP is to reject Federal funds for extended unemployment. That is pure genius! The Democratic party is working overtime to convince the country that Republicans only care about rich people, and the brain trust in the GOP decides it would be a good idea to deny money to people who have been laid off.
How dumb are Republicans?

Seriously, for all you anti-gun folks. How would you defend yourself in a home invasion situation?
I sleep with an SOG seal pup knife, I have a baseball bat in the corner, 4 dogs, and a well lit exterior on my home. I also have martial arts training, and am in very good physical shape. Having said all of that I would still prefer a gun for home defense. Nothing competes with the ability to sling a couple of .45's down range at a home invader.

I watched an awesome youtube clip on a blackwater training clip for the H&K Mark 23 Socom .45 pistol. That's the gun I want. Anybody ever handled one?

Call it what it is. The BUSH RECESSION.
by sammielee24 incall to arms.
the creeprepublicans are already in force trying to strategize for the next election with lies - of course what else is new?
the party that just finished bringing down the country haven't even bothered to let people breathe or let them see the results of the lawsuits and justice for all of those people that they allowed to destroy us.

As for NAFTA, I really don't think it was bad in theory...in that trading with our neighbors was a bad idea,. I think that it was the implementation of it that sucked.
I totally agree. Free Trade is a wonderful theory on paper. Opening more markets to locally produced goods is a win win. However, when you use the new law to facilitate the movement of manufacturing facilities off shore to cheaper labor markets you sign the eventual death warrant for your economy.
I am afraid it is too late to reverse any of it. China owns the world's manufacturing base, which means they hold all the money now. They're now beginning to use that power to secure their interests around the world. If you've payed any attention to Hubbard's peak theory on oil production then you know we're headed for an increasingly tight oil market.....without oil the world will stop. Check out what China's doing....

I do blame Clinton for Nafta which he got from Daddy Bush.
Yeah, Clinton screwed us on that one. The business lobby sold the legislation as a way to create more American jobs by opening new markets to American made products. Clinton should have been smart enough to see through the bull and realize they'd just use it as a means to export labor to cheaper markets. Corporate America sold us out. They sold our manufacturing base first to Mexico, then to China. The very foundation of our country's strength was our manufacturing base. It's what won WW2, and built the middle class in the 1950-60's era.
Now it's gone, and so is our economy. We've been lying to ourselves for the past 20 years. When your economy is driven by consumer spending and not raw production of goods....sooner or later it's gonna crash. Well, right now it's crashing and we don't have a manufacturing base to pull us out of it.....China has it now. Where is the money for our "stimulus bill" coming from? China.
It's so sad when you think about it. Our corporate overlords sold us out to the Commies for a decade long cash orgy, and now the bill is coming due.

Thank God! Court trumps cult, I love it. Perhaps when this young girl grows up she will appreciate the legal system saving her life from the hands of an evil, twisted empire.

I saw that clip last year on the Rush channel, very cool! I would love to do that someday. A few years back my wife and I did a para-swing over the Royal Gorge in Colorado. You basically strap into a harness attached to a couple of 100 ft. towers and swing out over a gouge that's 1200 ft deep. After the apex of the swing you free fall for a couple of seconds then get snapped back. It was intense. I can't imagine what a wing suit jump off a 1000' ft cliff would be like.

On another note......I'm getting ready to purchase my first hand gun and I cannot decide which one to buy. I like Glock's based upon their simplicity, safety, and price point....do they jam a lot? Also, 9mm, .40 s&w, or .45 acp? The 9mm appeals to me due to low recoil, max capacity, and price of ammo, but all my friends keep telling me they have no stopping power.
.40's are said to blow up sometimes. 45's have massive kickback. My thinking is to start with a 9mm to get used to shooting a handgun then move up.
Anybody got any advice?

The Democrats wants to disarm me? Come and take them. I guess I missed that. What some Democrats want to do is make it harder to get assault weapons and handguns. Hunting rifles and shotguns have never been on the table. Yes, some wacko fringe liberals think we'd be better off without guns period. Most Democrats disagree. I personally love guns. I think the more guns honest citizens have the better off we are. Most Democrats from my area agree. For the record I do not support the assault weapons ban, nor do I support hand gun restrictions. The right to keep and bear arms is in our constitution. I believe that includes ALL firearms. Mortars, rocket launchers, hellfire missiles, etc. I would really love to get my hands on a couple of hellfire missiles! Good-bye tailgaters!
