i watched dr. phil yesterday, where they were highlighting the disappearance of natalee holloway who disappeared in aruba over 5 months ago, and amy bradley who vanished from a cruise ship 7 years ago.

i always assumed that these girls were raped and then murdered and they very likely could be, but the program highlighted the sex-slave trade that is growing in leaps and bounds all over the world.

i sat there and listened in shock as one guy revealed what happens to some of these girls during snuff movies.

This kind of stuff really breaks my heart, but I think everyone needs to know it exists and maybe people that might have been tempted to either view or participate in this filth can see it for what it is, INHUMANITY!

Mary, I feel outraged like you, things like these make me wonder where is God in all of this, why if he had the power to create the Sun etc, does he not intervene in situations like these? It has always made me wonder.

Why the government does nothing about this? I really think it's because they themselves are sicker than you and I know, has anyone here heard about a scandal some years ago, where it was learned that quite a few important men in the government were involved in pedophilia?, and these were apparently decent, honest men, married with children, involved in gross acts with children.

It's a sick world my freinds, and there is no God to help us, we are on our own. I personally believe there was a Creator involved in our existence, but I don't believe he intervenes for us, which really makes no sense at all.

no one really has a conclusive answer to that.

i think it would reveal a lot if we were able to find out.. i know there have been various threads in the past where it revealed a clue here and a clue there.

I think that as easy as it is to dig up dirt on the old WTS, maybe someone has some real bad evidence against them and that is the person or persons who are really benefiting from this Printing Corporation.

And since there is no Jehovah behind them, it will one day, soon I hope, COLLAPSE, and free all those poor brainwashed people, so they can at least enjoy some freedom and happiness before their lives are over!

Elders, perfect kind men who should be respected.

i know some former witnesses away from the board and when we have talked, we have commented on how we still see people put elders in this category, even after the exit.

once in a discussion with someone who used to be an elder, the person who used to be an elder did something kind of harsh in their comments.

the person in the group stated, "there is no way someone like you would have ever been an elder.

In my life as a JW I have know wonderfull Elders, men that really cared about the brothers and sisters, men that gave their time and really were there for you, but I have also know others that were a poor excuse of a man, much less a leader of any kind. So in essence, you have some good, some bad like in everything else, the problem here is, that the WTS names these people to these positions on the basis of, how active they have been in service, how many meetings they attend and so on, this can be faked if you really wanted to. There is no Jehovahs spirit naming these people, they are not educated on how to deal with psychological problems, or depression, these are people that have no education at all in dealing with people and they are putting them in charge of a congregation of 70-170 people!

I know this Elder that was named as such when he was around 26, it was laughable really, he watched rated R movies with his wife and let his children also watch them, there was nudity in these movies, foul language and such, my husband and I could not believe that he was allowing this, we would tell our children to go out and play, and have never allowed our kids to watch that stuff, but my husband was not even an MS, he knew for years that something was not well in Watchtowerland and didn't want to be named anything, this elder that I speak of would even curse at home and with certain freinds, he would even check out the girls, I was truly dumbfounded when he was named Elder, and that is the kind of person that is leading that congregation Bwahahahahahahaha!

just reading through the january 1st w.t 2006. the first study article (starting on page 20) "how firm is your trust in god?

" has another dig at higher education.. paragraph 7.

"anyone who does not trust firmly in jehovah might think differently.the majority of humans view material wealth as a major key to security.hence, parents have encouraged their offspring to invest much of their young adulthood in higher education, hoping that it will prepare them for well-paying careers.sadly some christian families have found the cost of such an investment to be very high, as their children have lost spiritual focus and turned to pursuing materialistic goals".

Yes I believe it is, but no it won't do any good, I personally know many elders who's kids are in college, and don't really care about what the WTS says about higher education, it's unfortunately the poor and ignorant JW that will heed this advice, I hope I'm wrong though.

This generation of parents are the ones that missed out on a higher education for the crap that the WTS said back then, so they know the results of listening to that nonsense, the ones that went to college anyway, know that the WTS is exagerating about the dangers, hell, there are dangers at work too, and what? are we supposed to stay home? or just work with JW's only? I think not!

so for all you GB or Bethel spies, you can talk all you want about this and it won't make a damn bit of difference!

Out here we had this one particular Bastard of a CO, who irritated everyone, he was extremely arrogant, very young when he was named CO I think he was around 28, hadn't worked a day in his life, you know the kind, pioneer, MS, Elder, then CO, he was offended when anyone had any fun around him, he said it was unchristian, his wife had an air of superiority about her, he actually told all the sisters in the congregation from the platform, to please not tell his wife their problems, that it would just upset her.

He was quite younger than his wife and extremely overweight, they made an odd couple. Eventually he was sent to a territory that was quite a challenge, they have their own version of being a JW there, and he thought he would tame them hahahahahahaha, well it backfired, he instead got in trouble there, he never showed up for his assignments, claiming illness, and was eventually fired from being a CO. Welcome to the real world, needless to say he now had to get a job and struggle like the rest of us, boy I wish I was a flower on that wall, his wife I guess had to come down from her high horse, ah such is life, you spew crap, yet don't realize that one day you will have to eat it.

The GREAT tribulation

does anyone else remember horror stories about the great tribulation and what they would do to the witnesses etc.. i remember this being the big topic of conversation for years, then like lots of jw doctrine, they quietly swept it out of the arena, and now it's never mentioned.

i remember pioneering with a girl who couldn't sleep at night and kept praying she'd be strong enough to endure it!

i actually have a talk on tape from a member of the gb where he spoke about ministers swinging from lamposts.. gruesome or what!!

This I think was a major cause for my depression, and anxiety, I remember that when I was a child I pictured and had nightmares about them taking my mom away, torturing her and me until we told them whatever they wanted, and wondering if I would be strong enough or if I would deny Jehovah, a child shouldn't have to worry about horrific things like that. Then when I grew up and had my own children, it was worse, now the fear that what if they take my children and torture them in front of me, will I be strong? What if they torture me in front of my kids? or will I betray my beliefs? WHAT CRAP!!!!!!!!!

I will tell you, that when I found out it was all a LOAD OF BS!!! It was like lifting an elephant off my back, the joy and happiness I have felt after that is immense, the people I have been able to enlighten feel the same way, we have a new lease on life, and life is wonderful, of course there are ups and downs that is part of growing as person, part of life, but I no longer fear the BS of TRIBULATION or ARMAGGEDON!!

I enjoy gardening and other extracurricular activities that before made me feel guilty, because I felt I should be preaching instead or studying for meetings etc, now I can do things to actually help others not get them to join this friggin CULT!
