After I began my journey, I came to believe that Jesus was created sort of like an extension of Jehovah, like made of the same stuff, I came to this conclusion because of some of the things he said. I continued my research however, and found something very disturbing, i found evidence that Jesus shared many attributes with previous myths and gods I found this in another website that pretty much breaks it down, I don't agree with the Jesus being God idea however: Similarities between Jesus and Pagan Gods.
He is God made flesh, the savior and "Son of God"
His father is God and his mother is a mortal virgin
He is born in a cave or humble cowshed on December 25th before three shepards
He offers his followers the chance to be born again throught the rites of baptism
He miraculously turns water into wine at a marriage ceremony
He rides triumphantly into town on a donkey while people wave palm leaves to honor him
He dies at Eastertime as a sacrifice for the sins of the world
After his death he decends to hell, then on the third day he rises from the dead and ascends to heaven in glory
His followeres await his return as the judge during the Last Days
His death and resurrection are celebreated by a ritual meal of bread and wine, which symbolizes his body and blood
So who does this sound like? To the surprise of many, it's not Jesus. I was accutally describing Pagan godmen from Egypt (Osiris), Greece (Dionysus), Asia Minor (Attis), Syria (Adonis), Italy (Bacchus), and Persia (Mithras). All of which are basically the same.
The reason most people don't know this is because the early Roman Church did everything in their power to prevent us from perceiving them. They destroyed Pagan literature so completely that today Paganism is regarded as a "dead" religion.
It was obvious to the writers of the first few centuries of A.D. though. Pagan critics of Chrisianity such as the satirist Celsus, complained that this recent religion was nothing more than a pale reflection of their own ancient teachings.
Early church fathers though, like Just Martyr, Tertullion, and Irenaeus, resorted to the desperate claim that these similarities were the result of a diabolical mimicry. They accused the Devil of "plagiarism by anticipation," of devioulsy copying the true story of Jesus before it had actually happened in an attempt to mislead the gullible.
Just as one last thing, the virgin birth is often regarded as an extraneous later addition that should not be understood literally. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is alot of information about what the beliefs of Jesus's contemporaries were, and once you research this, the Jesus they paint in the bible seems fabricated, by the church. There is also information that I've talked about before here pertaining to the interesting parralels between Jesus's ministry and Titus's campaign as written in Josephus's "War of the Jews", I am still reading the book "Ceasars Messiah, the Roman Consiracy to Invent Jesus" by Joseph Atwill, he shows that: 1. Christianity did not originate among the lower classes in Judea. It was a creation of a Roman imperial family, the Flavians. 2. The Gospels were not written by the followers of a Jewish Messiah but by the intellectual circle surrounding the three Flavian emperors: Vespasian and his two sons, Titus and Domitian. 3. The Gospels were written following the 66-73 C.E. war between the Romans and the Jews, and many of the events of Jesus' ministry are satirical depictions of events from that war. 4. The purpose of Christianity was supersession. It was designed to replace the nationalistic and militaristic messianic movement in Judea with a religion that was pacifistic and would accept Roman rule. The authors of the Gospels and War of the Jews creat a series of typologically related events that occur in the same sequence, the author believes they intended for this to be eventually found out, it would show that the Titus got everyone to worship him as a god unknowingly, something he was never able to achieve even with torture as stated in War of the Jews: JESUS' MINISTRY TITUS' CAMPAIGN Start of ministry in Galilee: Jesus Start of campaign in Galilee: Titus begins ministry at Gennesareth and has his "onset" at Gennesareth says "Follow me" and be "fishers of where his soldiers follow him and men" "fish" for men At Gadara, encounters legion of At Gadara encounters "Legion" demons inside one man possessed with wicket spirit coming from one man "Swine" run wildly and 2,000 At Gadara, 2,000 of the "demons" drown do not drown At Jerusalem, the "Son of Mary" At Jerusalem,the son's flesh is offers his flesh to be eaten eaten by Mary Jesus envisions "signs" occurring Josephus records "signs" that before the temple's destruction occurred before the temple's destruction An escape by a naked individual at An escape by a "naked" individual Jerusalem's northeast corner at Jerusalem's northeast corner Messiah captured on the Mount of Messiah(an Eleazar) captured on the Mount Olives of Olives Simon's denials Simon's denials Three are crucified; one survives Three are crucified, one survives Joseph "Arimathea" takes survivor Joseph bar Matthias takes survivor down from the cross down from cross Simon is the rock upon which the Simon is the "rock" upon which new church is to be built the new "Church" will be built Jesus sends Simon to a martyr's Titus sends Simon to martyr's death death at Rome but spares John at at Rome but spares John at conclusion conclusion of ministry of campaign Judas falsely accuses Jesus, and Catallus falsely accuses against spills his guts (in the book of Acts) Josephus,Bernice and Alexander, and spills his guts (the Author believes these were the actual Authors of the Gospels) I am not saying that this conspiracy theory is actually what happened, but to me it appears very suspect, just too many coincidences to be random. But read the book for yourselves if you want, and reach your own conclusions, I just found it very eye opening. IC -

i always assumed that these girls were raped and then murdered and they very likely could be, but the program highlighted the sex-slave trade that is growing in leaps and bounds all over the world.
i sat there and listened in shock as one guy revealed what happens to some of these girls during snuff movies.

This kind of stuff really breaks my heart, but I think everyone needs to know it exists and maybe people that might have been tempted to either view or participate in this filth can see it for what it is, INHUMANITY!
Mary, I feel outraged like you, things like these make me wonder where is God in all of this, why if he had the power to create the Sun etc, does he not intervene in situations like these? It has always made me wonder.
Why the government does nothing about this? I really think it's because they themselves are sicker than you and I know, has anyone here heard about a scandal some years ago, where it was learned that quite a few important men in the government were involved in pedophilia?, and these were apparently decent, honest men, married with children, involved in gross acts with children.
It's a sick world my freinds, and there is no God to help us, we are on our own. I personally believe there was a Creator involved in our existence, but I don't believe he intervenes for us, which really makes no sense at all.

I think that as easy as it is to dig up dirt on the old WTS, maybe someone has some real bad evidence against them and that is the person or persons who are really benefiting from this Printing Corporation.
And since there is no Jehovah behind them, it will one day, soon I hope, COLLAPSE, and free all those poor brainwashed people, so they can at least enjoy some freedom and happiness before their lives are over!

Elders, perfect kind men who should be respected.
by free2beme ini know some former witnesses away from the board and when we have talked, we have commented on how we still see people put elders in this category, even after the exit.
once in a discussion with someone who used to be an elder, the person who used to be an elder did something kind of harsh in their comments.
the person in the group stated, "there is no way someone like you would have ever been an elder.

In my life as a JW I have know wonderfull Elders, men that really cared about the brothers and sisters, men that gave their time and really were there for you, but I have also know others that were a poor excuse of a man, much less a leader of any kind. So in essence, you have some good, some bad like in everything else, the problem here is, that the WTS names these people to these positions on the basis of, how active they have been in service, how many meetings they attend and so on, this can be faked if you really wanted to. There is no Jehovahs spirit naming these people, they are not educated on how to deal with psychological problems, or depression, these are people that have no education at all in dealing with people and they are putting them in charge of a congregation of 70-170 people!
I know this Elder that was named as such when he was around 26, it was laughable really, he watched rated R movies with his wife and let his children also watch them, there was nudity in these movies, foul language and such, my husband and I could not believe that he was allowing this, we would tell our children to go out and play, and have never allowed our kids to watch that stuff, but my husband was not even an MS, he knew for years that something was not well in Watchtowerland and didn't want to be named anything, this elder that I speak of would even curse at home and with certain freinds, he would even check out the girls, I was truly dumbfounded when he was named Elder, and that is the kind of person that is leading that congregation Bwahahahahahahaha!

" has another dig at higher education.. paragraph 7.
"anyone who does not trust firmly in jehovah might think differently.the majority of humans view material wealth as a major key to security.hence, parents have encouraged their offspring to invest much of their young adulthood in higher education, hoping that it will prepare them for well-paying careers.sadly some christian families have found the cost of such an investment to be very high, as their children have lost spiritual focus and turned to pursuing materialistic goals".

Yes I believe it is, but no it won't do any good, I personally know many elders who's kids are in college, and don't really care about what the WTS says about higher education, it's unfortunately the poor and ignorant JW that will heed this advice, I hope I'm wrong though.
This generation of parents are the ones that missed out on a higher education for the crap that the WTS said back then, so they know the results of listening to that nonsense, the ones that went to college anyway, know that the WTS is exagerating about the dangers, hell, there are dangers at work too, and what? are we supposed to stay home? or just work with JW's only? I think not!
so for all you GB or Bethel spies, you can talk all you want about this and it won't make a damn bit of difference!

Out here we had this one particular Bastard of a CO, who irritated everyone, he was extremely arrogant, very young when he was named CO I think he was around 28, hadn't worked a day in his life, you know the kind, pioneer, MS, Elder, then CO, he was offended when anyone had any fun around him, he said it was unchristian, his wife had an air of superiority about her, he actually told all the sisters in the congregation from the platform, to please not tell his wife their problems, that it would just upset her.
He was quite younger than his wife and extremely overweight, they made an odd couple. Eventually he was sent to a territory that was quite a challenge, they have their own version of being a JW there, and he thought he would tame them hahahahahahaha, well it backfired, he instead got in trouble there, he never showed up for his assignments, claiming illness, and was eventually fired from being a CO. Welcome to the real world, needless to say he now had to get a job and struggle like the rest of us, boy I wish I was a flower on that wall, his wife I guess had to come down from her high horse, ah such is life, you spew crap, yet don't realize that one day you will have to eat it.
