hey guys, do any of you know whatever happened to these xjw's?

i'm curious to know, gene birdsong was a co in tx and was df'd for apostasy he was a very nice man, very caring wouldn't it be great if he was posting here?

episcopo was a do, he was also a very nice man, was one of the few that gave exhilerating talks, that did not put you to sleep, he was df'd a year ago, that was totally unexpected, i wonder what happened, these guys probably found out the truth about "the truth"!

News about the end at the yearly business meeting

that's right folks, the fds in convinced that we are so deep into the end of the system of things they feel it will happen at any moment.. it's funny that this should be taken serious since this sort of thing has been said many times in the past.

however, many of those at that meeting are so drawn in that they believe it as if they saw god himself speak it.. this came from someone who attended, perhaps someone else has direct quotes or other tidbits they can share with us.

One year from now, I will be asking my totally brainwashed regular pioneer mom, and other JW family members what happened with the WTS prediction that False Religion was going to end? Since nothing will have happened then.

Is it possible for someone to "Love being a JW"?

a few days ago, i met an old lady that has a jw as neighbour.

she knows that jw couple since years, although she isn't a jw.

so, i asked that old lady, "do you still see that jw couple once in a while", hoping for some kind of juicy news..... so, my question is, "how can a person love to be a jw" when so many others just "hate" being in that religion?.

To many it's just a social club where they can meet and greet new ones, gossip and criticize anyone who doesn't tow the line, also get informed about what brothers do for a living in case they need to make use of their services for the much expected brotherly discount, and if they are structure freaks they will fit right in, they have a schedule to follow and enough rules to keep them busy for quite a while....If they are snobby then they will love it, because they feel like they know the "Truth" whereas everyone else is so fooled in their stupid little religions...the females usually look forward to occasions like assemblies and the Memorial when you can get new outfits to show off this always adds excitement to their dull lives.

A sad life really.

Possible clue to the "Big" Announcement!!

my husband, the black pearl, had a interesting conversation with his mother today.

she was trying to be all kiss butt nice, for today that is, to tell him about the new tract that is coming out in october.

apparently they don't have it yet.

A few days ago, I had a phone conversation with my fanatical regular pioneer mom and I mentioned the upcoming campaign, she was silent for a moment, then I said "you know, the campaign for the new tract about the end of false religion that's supposed to begin on october 16", she said "yes it starts October 16" "oh, you guys are going to the meetings?(with a smile on her face)" my reply "no, not really", I could tell the smile faded real quick, and she asked me how I knew this, I said "oh, I keep track of everything that goes on, I know that this is the third campaign this summer, and that it is pretty much the same as the one that came out in 73" she just said "oh yes, pretty similar" and I could hear in her voice that her brainwashed mind was trying to deal with this realization, but then she started changing the subject of course and we ended the conversation.

She will be out there wasting her last years on this DAMN PUBLISHING COMPANY POSING AS A RELIGION, IT REALLY PISSES ME OFF!!!!!

Oh well, life goes on.

Why does god allow suffering?

i always had trouble with answering that question.

if there is a god why is there so much suffering?

so i looked up the offical explanation of the wts in the bible teach book chapter 11 paragraph 12 says: let us consider an illustration.

I have twirled this question around in my head so many times.....I've finally arrived at a conclusion that I am at peace with (this has the potential of driving you crazy if you let it). Now these are just my thoughts everyone is free to believe what they want....I believe that we are all spiritual beings that chose these physical bodies so we can experience all the facets of being a human, but ultimately when our physical bodies die we once again connect to the Creator whether it is called God, some Superior Conciousness, or whoever, and we can choose to come back in another body to experience another life. I believe that whatever goes on here on earth is only temporary and does not affect our final destination I think we all go to the same place and I don't believe there is a hell bad people go to , since I know the concept of hell is a human invention. If evil did not exist how would we know what goodness is?, if suffering did not exist how would we show compassion? I agree with Brigid that there has to be a balance, the ying and yang thing. If what happens here does not matter in the long run, then that would explain why the Creator does not intervene, if our ultimate existence is safe then it doesn't matter. In this reality we can choose to fight evil, and we can choose love over hate, the decision is ours to make. Those are just my thoughts, since no one really knows until we get there.... from all the stuff I have read, those are the conclusions I have arrived at, and I feel very happy and at peace.

Well, mine is pretty self explanatory....When I began finding out the truth about the WTS I felt like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, when she saw who Oz really was, just a silly old man behind the curtain instilling fear and obedience from the people, I began seeing the GB in that same way. They are really like this silly old man, not annointed or anything, they live in that ivory tower alienated from the real world trying to push their laws and regulations on everyone and demanding obedience, but I see who they are now, I see behind the curtain.

this will probably apply to few here, but to me it'll always be that way.

it's the what if syndrome maybe, but it's always there.

i still think that as a core belief system the jw's have it right, even if their delivery isn't always right.

Hi and welcome Youngone , don't be too quick to judge us here, yes there may be some that are bitter, but can you really judge them if you don't know their story? As someone else said, please read some of the info on this site so you can get a better idea of what the real issues are. Things are not as they seem, I know it's strange, I was where you are now, not too long ago. It seems to you that JW's are happier people and that if you leave the organization there is no hope for happiness, well that is what has been pounded into our brain for how many years? But, that is not true. I have seen many people that were suffering from a variety of stress related diseases like fibromyalgia, depression etc., and once they learned the truth about "The Truth" their health improved dramatically, and they no longer need medication.

I am currently a fader, my family and I still go once in a blue moon, but after about a year and a half of exhaustive research I no longer believe in what the WTS teaches, I no longer believe in religion in general, I am free from all these superstitions and useless beliefs. My family and I have never been happier and more at peace, and those we have helped out are now completely different people living happy and productive lives, no longer wasting their time believing that this system is going to end, and that they shouldn't pursue a higher education etc. We live moral lives, none of us has left our spouses, we are truly happy. I believe in a creator, but not the god of the bible, that stuff was all made up.

Do the dubs know WHY there delivering Kingdom News 37?

i just got my copy of the sep km.

there's an article, about 6 paragraphs inside about the "false religions end is near" campaign.. i was surprised that the first paragraoh didn't even tell the dubs why they were doing this campaign.

they left the explanation to a couple of vague sentences in the last paragraph about how false religion's end is near.. it seems that the dubs don't know why they're doing this, only that they have to do it and place their 50 copies.. odd..

The JW's don't need to know anything, they just receive the order from "Mother" and follow it through. Many though will probably just dump them and pick a number to report. The BS of the end is near is getting so damn old already, when will people realize that the stuff that is written in the bible about the end referred to the end of that particular system which happened in 70 AD? WAKE UP PEOPLE, do some research on history and how many times christians have thought the "the end was nigh" it has happened many times before, read about the plague for example or the many wars and genocides that happened hundreds of years ago, there is no difference, only that now we have alot more people on earth and the media to tell us about any little disaster that happens anywhere, and this is just feeding the monster of "The End is Near" mentality.

A book that I highly recommend is "End-Time Visions, The Road to Armaggedon?" by Richard Abanes, that book helped me see that this belief is not based on reality, just a slogan to scare the flock into submission.
