Dear Mouthy, I am truly sorry if I offended you, not my intention, I admire you actually, youve' got alot of spunk....If you feel fulfilled believing in Jesus Christ...by all means, that is your choice and you are free to do so. It's just that after being lied to for over 30 years by the WTS, I chose to take apart everything I used to believe in, I wanted to find the truth. While I was on my journey I reached the point where I was reading the bible only with no WT publications and it was if I was reading the NT for the first time, I saw Jesus Christ in a whole new light, and had what I would describe as a religious experience, I accepted Christ in my heart and even prayed to him.......But, I didn't stop there, I kept searching and found information that lead me to abandon the Bible and Jesus Christ. I today believe in God the Creator, but my Bible is Nature, it cannot be misinterpreted, mistranslated or misquoted. I am truly happy today, and feel much peace. If your faith brings you to a happy place....so be it, that is your choice.

Together with my belief in the Bible, I have abandoned my belief in christ after I researched all the myths before him that coincide with all his miracles, virgin birth, turning water to wine, dying and resurrecting on the 3rd day, even down to the 12 apostles, I would rather know the truth than to close my eyes and believe in a lie.

Does the WBT$ God "Jehovah" Exsist?

the wbt$ caims to speak for god..a god that intends to exterminate eveyone except jehovah`s witness`s..a god that can`t make his mind up about what the truth is,or what his people the "jehovah`s witness`s" should preach..a god who`s organization the wbt$,is absolutly corrupt..a god who say`s exactly what the wbt$ tells him to say.....does the wbts god "jehovah" exsist?...outlaw

How do you view the Bible?

i think that the bible gives hope and comfort.

i also think that the bible is a good book without me saying too much.

but is it a product of god?

PrimateDave, right on target! I just thought of a few more:

It teaches us that if we are virgins and our father is the only male around, we can mate with him, if we make him drunk first.

It teaches us that if you have male guests, and the locals want to rape them, offer them your daughters instead.

It teaches us that Disney movies are correct, sometimes animals can talk.(ie,talking donkey,snake)

It teaches us that if our kids talk back to us we can stone them to death, and that's ok with God.

I know there's more....

Do you have a hope for the future???

just wondering, all who have left, are leaving, or are still 'in' and no longer believe.. jw's have the hope of living forever...paradise...etc.. what is your hope for the future?.

do you still think there is the chance of living forever...paradise...etc..

I absolutely have a hope for my future! I no longer believe anything the JW's say, nor do I believe in the Bible. But I do believe that there is a Creator and I believe we are all a piece of him/her/it. I believe I am eternal, I came to live this particular experience in this shell I inhabit now, which I will one day leave, to maybe return and live another experience. What I want to focus on though is now, today, to live the best life and help whoever I can in any way I can. Sometimes it will be helping someone to free their mind from the enslavement to ideas and beliefs that hinder the human experience.

We all have god given talents that if developed can enhance our lives and those of others around us. Living our life believing we should slave and spend our time worshipping some God because a 2000 year old book tells us to, is a terribly sad thing.

TIME Magazine Articles on Jehovah's Witnesses

has anyone ever posted about the tons of time magazine articles about the jws?

time has been around forever and has been a 'witness' (pardon the pun) to much of their history .. clear back to the 1930s.

I found this footnote interesting, since as far as I know Rutherford was a Lawyer who served as a judge for a week or two, but was not really a judge, why would it say here that he served as a circuit judge for 14 years? If any of you know, please share this with us. Thanks for posting these Time magazine articles, I am sharing them with a few active JW's I know, since the source of the info is "non-Apostate" they will read it.

He was for 14 years a circuit judge in Missouri; "consecrated myself to the Lord" in 1906. He is now 58 years old.
