There's a company that makes ashes into concrete forms that get dropped into the ocean to become new parts of coral reefs.
I also heard of a company that would incorporate your ashes into fireworks and you'd have a lightshow for your memorial - that's how I'd want to go out!

I got my first last year. It's on the inside of my forearm and it felt like my arm was being sliced open with every pass. That said, I love my ink and I'm getting at least two more some time soon. I want to get them fairly close together so I don't have to go too long before I can donate blood again.

i get this daily e mail from a baptist preacher friend of mine.

okay, historically my mother has always called me and jim and our kids on all of our b-days - always, we've been married 14 years and she's never forgotten and neither have my siblings, until this year.
this year she has decided that she can no longer continue her tradition, it isn't right.
this year she has decided to get religious on us.
My elder father laid-out his 96-year-old pioneer mother when she went to have dinner with her sister on her sister's 100th birthday. No presents or anything - just dinner and sharing happy memories and letting her know she was loved. They haven't got a clue... I didn't, either, when I was in. Happy Birthday Wishes To Your Daughter!!!

small book 97 pages.
read it in under two hours.
I downloaded it from Audible.com. Harris wrote it in response to the feedback he got after publishing The End of Faith. I'm listening to The God Delusion right now and will follow-up with both of Harris' books next.
i'm thinking about joining the aaa auto club.
my car is getting along in years and isn't going to get replaced any time soon.
i'm imagining that my stranded-on-the-side-of-the-road moment is imminent.
I had AAA when I first started driving. They were useful for trip planning and flats outside my home. Roadside usually took so long, my folks would show up wherever I was before AAA got there.
At one point, I had roadside via Cingular Wireless, but when I called for help after a blowout, the rep I got wasn't even in the 48 contiguous states and couldn't seem to find any major city or highway near my breakdown. And, no, they don't track your phone.
I've got Better World Club now, but haven't had the need to call them yet.
