The world the JW's detest...
by TD inhow many times have jw depictions of paradise shown cozy little gabled, shingled, lapsided, wood frame houses tastefully situated in front of mountain lakes without a hint of technology?
i've lost count.
i've always thought this picture betrays an unbelievable naivete about how technology works.

Adam and Eve were never depicted as having a house or even a tent.
a true return to the garden of eden, a true new beginning would include no clothes, no homes, basically a reintegration with the natural earth, eating natural grown fruits and vegetables and no meat. it would be quite a departure from what we now think of as life.
Did Adam and Eve eat? If so, they must have had to eliminate waste somehow.... did they just find a shrub and go? Did they have toilet paper? Where did they sleep? What did they sleep on? Did they sleep? Did they ever get cold or hot? What did Adam and Eve do all day? No home, no clothes, no farming, nothing to read, only each other to talk to, but neither did anything, so what did they talk about? Sounds pretty horrible to me.

Pictures of Paradise
by gringojj inmy wife made a comment today about all the pictures of paradise and how none of them ever show the inside of a house.
they are always the same pictures of people outside playing with lions and water in the background.
someone was talking in another post about how hard it is to make the simplest items.

jgnat - I enjoyed that article. A couple of those pics I've never seen before. They made me laugh out loud here at the office. It amazes me that people look at that and say "Yes! I want to roll around in the fields with pandas!"
Who defined that idea of paradise? I would be miserable. I hate fruit, I enjoy living in the city, and I love riding my motorcycle. Those pictures look closer to hell than paradise to me.

Excellent news. I believe that with the eventual maturation of treatments like these that healthcare costs will begin to plummet as it becomes easier and easier to treat severe health problems.

I like the "speaker is from Satan" conclusion. I'm gonna print that one out. I think that perhaps you should have another arrow going from Provide Scripture back to Speaker Refutes Bible, so as to create a loop of quote, argue, quote, argue - then an eventual conclusion of Speaker is from Satan.
