I found this and am in total agreement. Feel free to answer the Questions.
by jw inregardless of how you feel about jehovah's organization--the true religion, one thing for sure, you will not escape the almighty jehovah's judgement right along with satan the devil and his destructive organization.
how will you save yourself and those who follow you...?
it's ashame that your energies could not be put to a more positive use.

The new Tool Album
by wanderlustguy ini bought it a couple of days ago when it came out...it's amazing how much their music has developed since the last album.. since my liberation from the organization, i've found their lyrics and music to inspire me, it always did, but i never really knew why.
now the lyrics strike the same chord...only harder.. here's a sample.... .

Advice for non-JW please
by Joe Grundy inhaving visited this site on many occasions, and having been recommended to it, i am confident that it is a source of good advice from people who know about these things.
i would be grateful for any advice you can offer me.. i have been an atheist for 20+ years, but before that was a non-conformist protestant with degrees of belief varying from acceptance to enthusiasm.
my atheism resulted from research because of my (continuing) interest in the effects of religion.

I have a friend who's a JW and I have some of the same concerns as you. My advice is to simply be you and avoid getting confrontational. I don't discuss religion unless my friend brings it up, and we have cordial conversations. You're not going to convert them, but you could be an example for them, showing that not all non-JWs are evil.

Anyone ever have a psychic reading?
by Woofer inok i know growing up that psychics were a big "no-no" "because they get their information from the demons" but i have to admit that i have had a few readings in the last couple of years... i have consulted a few times with two different psychics.
i am amazed at their accuracy.. for instance, my fiance was looking for a job about a year ago so i consulted with this psychic and she told me he would find a job with a company that has the letter "w" in it and that he would be very successful there.
in fact he did find work with a company with a w in their first name and only after being there a year he got a huge promotion.

Deluded, Misguided and Uninformed
by Lady Lee inas a jw i was taught that no matter what we were doing "in the world" our actions should always be above reproach.
we were always to be giving a "fine witness" many jws, myself included, believed that when people saw our fine behavior and recognized our clean morals they would attribute it to our religion.
and some would be so impressed they would want to learn more.. now that i am out i have had a fascinating time finding out what people really think about jws.

Where the heck was the GB between 1AD and circa 1880? How does the GB represent the FDS? Please explain, using only the bible, how to arrive at the 1914 doctrine.
