If Jesus is an archangel, then I take it than Angels can inhabit human bodies? So did Jesus completely take over the body he inhabited - was it sort of a zombie body designed for the angel's use?

I have a question regarding JW doctrine:
What is Jesus? I went to one memorial and he was described as the "perfect man," like Adam. However, JWs don't believe in a soul, so when Jesus died, what happened to him? He was resurrected, and currently resides as the King of Heaven, yet, what form does he take? Is he still a human, or is he some sort of soul being? Can anyone help me out?

Why God refuses to interfere
by greendawn inmany people ask why doesn't god interefere to help suffering mankind?
biblically the answer is very simple: mankind exercise their freedom of choice and in so doing chose to be slaves to sin or the demons if you like.
god respects that choice however foolish it may be.

Let me ask this: If you see someone about to kill another person and you have the power to stop it, but don't, are you acting in a moral way?

Cannabis vs Alchohol and Other Man Made Pharmacuticals
by OpenFireGlass inwell for starters i do have a prescription for cannabis (insomnia / depression).... why would i want to take pharmacuticals for insomnia/depression?
i mean, what if i get prescribed/addicted to a pill, that one day i might not be able to afford?
(if you/i grow cannabis it's more/less free)... now the moral issue... who is more likely to beat the shit out of their kids?

I think it's immoral to tell someone what they can and can't put in their body, regardless if it is cigarettes, marijuana, alcohol, or heroin. Making drugs illegal only increases drug-related crime and creates a gigantic black market ruled by violence. I think the war on drugs is probably the most destructive government program, or at least in the top five.
All drugs were completely legal until 1914 in the United States. Most drug prohibition movements in the late 1800's and early 1900's were related to racist attacks against "opium-smoking chinamen" or "cocainized niggers."
PS: I've never done a drug in my life - I just don't think anyone should be thrown in jail for doing so.

How do you deal with death now
by unique1 ini must say, it was easier being a jw, believing that i would in fact be resurrected to a paradise earth and having the faith that would definitely happen.
i still believe in the bible to the extent that i believe jesus led a good life and if we follow his example we will lead one to.
however, the bible was written by men, who are imperfect and therefore i don't feel we can take the entire book at face value as truth.

I'm an atheist and I don't think there is an afterlife. Does that get me down? No. I live life to the fullest and it is my mission to leave my mark by making other people's lives better too. I look around me, at the incredible diversity of humanity, and I smile. People are a wonderful thing and there's so much in life to experience. Why let an inevitability get me down?

Yet another "Crisis of Conscience" Thread
by XBEHERE inso after over 4 yrs i finally read the book...i had a lot of my suspicions confirmed especially with all the doctrinal matters such as 1914, this generation, alternative service, etc.
the fact that the gb actually considered all of these things and almost voted for change on some of them but ultimately did not because of not having 2/3 majority is disgusting!
the malawi/mexico hypocrisy is appalling to say the least.

It is a great book. Having been on a dysfunctional board of directors for a few years, I recognized a lot of the same internal politics. It's all about maintaining the status quo and not upsetting the apple cart. It's the same everywhere - WTS is no different.
