Sounds a lot like the racial problems we're having in the US due to illegal Mexican immigration. Lots of white folks are up in arms about Mexicans taking jobs from US citizens. I frankly don't mind because Mexican people need to earn a living too and they take jobs that a lot of Americans won't - like picking fruit in the fields. But, it also effects a lot of other low-skill sectors, like construction.

Could Britain become a racists paradise?
by Gill inmy husband works for an engineering company.
he is a highly skilled engineer and runs the maintenance department.
in britain at the moment it is very difficult to find highly skilled engineers and so firms have been recruiting abroad, only to find that these 'high' skills are just as rare abroad and also nearly as expensive.. so, my husbands firm have basically decided, to cut costs, they have written out a new contract for all their workers.

Percentage of men who don't wash hands after pooing
by *jeremiah* ini just left my work desk to go to the rest room.
this guy came out of the stall and clearly just finished his business and didn't wash his hands.
i see this a lot.

I've noticed the same thing. There is a guy I work with who comes out of the stall, doesn't wash his hands, and then proceeds to pick his nose in front of the mirror. Horrifying.

Post your favorite saying
by Scully ini was just pondering how the wts has, for over a century, been able to convince people to do what is contrary to their best interests with fear tactics that armageddon is coming soon, and i came up with what is going to be my pet phrase for a while:.
"only religion has the power to compel people to embrace sheer stupidity in the name of faith.
" ~ scully, december 28, 2006. i googled it, and didn't see that anyone else has claimed it, so until someone else finds an attribution for it, i'm claiming it as my own.

YOU "THINK" YOU KNOW.....BUT...YOU DON'T KNOW!!
by Terry inthe door to door work is a sham.. the central activity of the watchtower bible and tract society is not spreading their so-called "messege" about the kingdom of jehovah established in the heavens in 1914. that's a load of propaganda.. the door to door activity is feckless in producing converts.
in fact, it is an immense failure of mammoth proportions!.
but, it is a diversion.

The accounts of the WTS & IBSA are a matter of public record. A very kind XJW faxes me a copy each year.
Care to share? What accounts are included? Balance sheet, income statement, cash flows?

It's a little surprising to me that a financial statement has never leaked out of Bethel. Although I think that it's unlikely that the Watchtower is skimming money or engaging in any illegal accounting practices, it would be interesting to see how they spend their money. I think it's most probable that the organization isn't run to well.

I'm gay and I like to go to Hooters. I'm probably the only guy in the place (along with my boyfriend) who is actually there for the food.

MIL says thousands of babies found under ancient Catholic Church!
by bluesapphire inanyone heard about this?
i haven't found any info about it.. my mil took advantage of my being in costa rica by inviting my husband out for dinner with the sole purpose of trying to get him to go back to the meetings.
she's afraid to take me on so she would never do this in my presence.

I love Wendy's. I used to work there when I was 14. The most horrible job of my life, but I still love the food!
