The Watchtower Study: The one way to make your views publicly known

as most of us here are aware, the watchtower "study" weekly meeting is no "study" at all.

paragraphs are read, pre-arranged questions are asked, and the "correct" answer is a slight re-wording of the sentences in the paragraph.. however, sometimes (many times?

depending on the congregation), members could use the study as a way to publicly air their opinions on a variety of topics, without fear of interruption (so long as the answer was couched in enough "theocratese").

Similar thing happened.

Brother complains that JW teens shouldn't drive sports car because your whole life has to represent Jehovah, and if a police stops a sports car, they won't initially think they are one of JWs.

Plus of course 2 JW teens have sportscar with the loud mufflers, and everyone hears this when they leave.

Talking about a person, at their funeral, "how taboo!"

i went to a funeral yesterday and they did something you never saw at a witness memorial, and it is so refreshing to me when this is done.

well they actually mentioned the person who died.

they talked about their life, their family and even some fun stories about what they did in this life.

Ya whats up with that, at my Grandma's funeral which had a lot of people who weren't JW, it was as if the speaker made it feel like everyone should feel bad because they didn't dedicate their lives to Jehovah, so you should do it now for everlasting life.

Lol, uh I think i depend on women way too much, but it seems they are the only ones who get things done, and I can get information easily from them than men.

ok, i am of the older generation, and this blog thing is new to me,,,any care to share what they are and how to get into some of them,,,,,,??

Well like they said its just your ONLY DIARY, where you can talk about the HOTTEST TRENDS, THE HOTTEST CELEBRITIES, and How emo you look.

The majority of blogs, are done by teenage girls, who say such bad things about their friends and online friends that they have to make theirs "Friends only" to read. Which i hate, because I rather you just say something outward and bold instead of being private but ohwell.

The blogs done by guys are usually lacking. Based on how emo and popular you are, it can be similar to teenage girls journals with the same basic principles.

The More popular blogs are political and tech commentary, and news programs like CNN will often go to those sites for ideas and news. These sites are very important because they are often truthfull of how a company should run itself.

Myspace is What I'd call Advertising Yourself. The great thing about it is that it filters out some popular people who tend to be afraid to use their real picture but are popular on other journal sites by the communities they run.
Myspace is basically a site about yourself, where you typically write about why people should be interested in meeting you. OR why people should meet you but your too high up in your virtual celebrity status that you just want the attention.

So even though blogs are the IN thing these days, just watch out for the concieted types, and they are everywhere.

I have One entertainment/tech blog, a Cartoon blog, and a myspace.

i was "in the truth" for about four years and was disfellowshipped thirty-three years ago at the age of nineteen.

when i became involved, at age fifteen, i was taught 'theocratic warfare' which is 'lying for the truth.

' it really didn't bother me until i was several years older and became more introspective.

I didn't really know about this until I went on the evil internet and there it was, the article about theocratic warfare, and it made me realize how evil JWs are. So you have to lie about that you do normal things, and not ministry things to the Judge, how hypocritical, its like going against the very fabric of being a witness. So far they didn't really teach me this thing, and I wonder why hmm.

And a quote i found

Guess that answers the question
