Free to Re-Marry
by Grouper inif one confesses adultry to their spouse, does one also have to confess it to the elders in order for the spouse to be free to re-marry?
watchtower refrences would be appreciated.. a friend recently confessed adultry to his wife but she wants him (he hasn't gone to meeting in years) to confess to the elders or write a letter about the deed, she says she needs it inorder for her to be free to re-marry.
is this true?.

Tell your friend NOT TO MEET with the Elders!!!! They just want to "through him under the bus" and make am example of him. Chances are the his ex-wife is just trying to make herself look good in the eyes of the Dubs. If she wants to live by their stupid rules that's on her. BTY, does your friend have family in the Dubs? Maybe that's why he does not want to admit to the Elders since he'll get DF.

Growing a Beard.
by Priest73 inso, why is it that we (xy chromosomes) feel obligated to grow beards once we leave the org?
i've had a little 'chin' beard for about the last 8 years, but every year in november i try to grow the whole thing out... but inevitably i fail miserably.
maybe my facial follicles are still jws.

Stopped shaving when i left in April. Beard grew in nice and thick. First time i tried too. i like to run into JW that know me and act wierd cuase i have a beard!!!!

My good friend at the time got a DUI he was an elder and the WT conductor. He did not get in trouble cause he was everybody's buddy. He claimed he was not drunk but "overserved"

Just spoke w/ Elders Pls Help
by thepackage ini just got a call from an elder from my old kh, i have not been to meeitngs since april 2007. i recently took my daughter to thier first b-day party, (their cousin), anyways, they want to ask if i celebrate b-day now.
i told them i'd speak with them later.
so, since i ahve been inactive since april can they df me?????

I know my Ex-Wife is trying to get me DF. ALso, I've let my beard go (nicely i might add!!!). I think i'm just going to ly like a rug!!!!!!! But, what if i don't speak w/ them any more????? Can they DF me if they do not talk w/ me????

aka for all of you worldly non witness folk who want to know how it is being with an ex jwhere you go, a little sample, unfiltered.. .
january just got done taking the gf to see the familyfeeling good because the experience made us closer, finally sharing a piece of what i came from.

Sorry to hear about your 2007, but here's my 2007: Found wife drunk in bed with another JW on the day i found out my dad had cancer and she knew about my dad. I left the JW's, got accused of all kinds of false crap. filed for divorce, ex-wife broke into the house and stoled all kinds of stuff. Had to file two police reports against her. dad recovering from brain cancer egt hit by a car!!!!! And thats just a portion!!!!

my mom was convinced that it must be "the demons".
the congregation prayed over me and eventually i went to a doctor that was able to figure out why i was so sickly and presto: everyone's prayers were answered..
