If someone can find the links, it woud be nice to include the 3 other incidents of JW INVESTMENTS CON-ARTISTS which have occurred over the past 4-5 years.
There were the 2 JW Elders who pulled off what was labeled "Montana's Largest Theft".
There was the JW Elder who ripped off JWs and others in south Florida and other states.
Then, there were the "several" JWs in NJ & NYC - can't recall the details.
I even had 3 relatives ripped off in a bogus stock investment scheme back in the 1960s by a JW sent in by the WBTS to "pioneer" in our "isolated territory". -

Accused molester's mom facing 4 counts
July 7, 2006
CENTENNIAL - The mother of a 32-year-old man accused of posing as a teenager and molesting several children could face life in prison for allegedly helping him by not divulging his real age to victims' parents.
Soldad McGhee was arrested last week and faces four felony counts for her role in the case. Among other things, prosecutors allege that she introduced her son to two of his young accusers six years ago and insinuated he was about their age.
One of those children took Zuri-Kye Latifbay McGhee to his Arkansas Elementary School classroom in Aurora, where the man allegedly pretended to be the boy's brother in order to befriend others.
The man faces 77 counts for allegedly molesting 18 boys and two girls, who were between 9 and 16 years old at the time. His trial is scheduled to begin July 17. -

There are some more non-JWkeyword articles which give more and even better details about this pervert.
HIS JW (assumed) MOTHER HAS ALSO BEEN CHARGED WITH FACILITATION, plus the son has previously committed similar crimes in other states.
Denver Post story by Jeremy P. Meyer
Soldad McGhee, 51, was arrested Wednesday on felony charges of assault on a child, according to Colorado Bureau of Investigation records.
Police say she facilitated her son's alleged assaults by renting him an apartment, paying his utility bills and driving him to sleepovers with children. Her son, Zuri-Kye Latifbay McGhee, is set for a three-week trial beginning July 17. He is facing 80 counts - mostly felony child-sexual-assault charges involving as many as 22 victims.
Zuri-Kye McGhee has pleaded not guilty. If convicted, he could be sentenced to life in prison. He is being held in the Arapahoe County Jail on $2 million bail.
Police say Zuri-Kye McGhee pretended he was a young boy, befriending preteens and sexually assaulting them. Many children alleged he assaulted them in an apartment he claimed was rented by his uncle, according to court testimony.
Zuri-Kye McGhee moved to Colorado in April 1999 after pleading to a lesser charge to avoid facing sex-assault charges in New Mexico, court records show. In New Mexico, he was charged with 23 felony counts of criminal sexual contact with minors, but the charges were dropped when he pleaded guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to court records. He served nearly a year in jail.
In an interview with The Denver Post shortly after her son was arrested last year, Soldad McGhee said she was shocked by the allegations. "I'd like to believe it's not true," she said. "I still would like to believe the good in my son." If it is true, she said, "Then he definitely needs help." Authorities now say they believe the woman "had partial involvement" in her son's alleged crimes, said Sgt. Rudy Herrera, Aurora police spokesman.
Soldad McGhee is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday at 8 a.m. -

Here is a 2005 Cease/Desist Order from the State of California which contains the names of some other individuals and/or business entities who did business with the JW CRIMINALS.
Anyone recognize these others as also being JWs?

Were GEORGE STORRS and BRIGHAM YOUNG Cousins?
by West70 insupposedly, the "grandfather" of the wbts/jws -- george storrs --, and the mormon prophet -- brigham young -- were distantly related - possibly third or fourth cousins.
i have not checked out this allegation.
maybe those more adept at genealogical research (and spelling it) might want to pursue whether storrs and young may have crossed paths at some point.

Given some early WBTS researchers' interest in George Storrs' contribution to WBTS history, I thought that this little tidbit would have raised more interest.
Now, I can't even recall where this was found. Oh well ... -

Nadel's and Malone's JW activities are briefly mentioned on pages #2 and #13.
BTW, Nadel and Malone are/were "Jehovah's Witnesses". If the WBTS had been involved, I would have entitled the post "S.E.C. Sues WBTS For Investment Frauds". -

U.S. SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION
WASHINGTON, D.C.
Litigation Release No. 19764 / July 17, 2006
Securities and Exchange Commission v. Renaissance Asset Fund, Inc., Ronald J. Nadel, and Joseph M. Malone, Civil Action No. SA CV 06-661-JVS (C.D. California)
The Commission filed civil fraud charges today against Renaissance Asset Fund, Inc., Ronald J. Nadel, and Joseph M. Malone. The Commission's complaint, filed in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, alleges that Renaissance and its principals raised over $16 million from more than 190 investors nationwide. Many of the victims were elderly and were solicited through Jehovah's Witnesses congregations.
According to the complaint, from at least March 1999 through April 2004, the defendants raised funds for multiple purported projects, including a general fund, an outlet mall, an international currency exchange, and a Swiss bank. Some of the purported projects did not exist, and others were unsuccessful. The defendants misrepresented to investors that their investments would earn returns ranging from 10% to 25% in as little as four months. The defendants also sent quarterly account statements to investors setting forth the fictitious profits their investments had purportedly earned. Based on the representations in these account statements, many investors reinvested their principal and purported profits in other Renaissance projects.
The defendants operated Renaissance's programs as a Ponzi scheme, paying earlier investors with funds raised from later investors. Nadel also used investor funds to pay for lavish expenses, including country club memberships, car leases, and retail purchases. The majority of investors in Renaissance never received the interest or return of their principal the defendants had promised.
Based on this conduct, the complaint alleges that Defendants Renaissance, Nadel and Malone violated Section 17(a) of the Securities Act of 1933 (Securities Act) and Sections 5(a), 5(c) and 17(a) of the Securities Act of 1933, Section 10(b) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and Rule 10b-5 thereunder. The complaint also alleges that Nadel and Malone violated Section 15(a) of the Exchange Act. The complaint seeks final judgments permanently enjoining the defendants from violating or aiding and abetting violations of the antifraud and registration provisions of the federal securities laws. The Commission also seeks disgorgement of ill-gotten gains with prejudgment interest, an accounting, and civil penalties.
In related SEC proceedings, Senior Resources Asset Fund LLC and Kenneth Baum have consented to the issuance of cease-and-desist orders for their role in selling Renaissance investments. The Commission ordered both Senior Resources and Baum to cease and desist from selling unregistered securities, and ordered Baum to cease and desist from acting as an unregistered broker-dealer. Senior Resources and Baum consented to the issuance of the order without admitting or denying its findings. For further information, see Securities Act Release No. 33-8723 (July 17, 2006).
