Blood Type

is it normal for those that refuse blood to not know their blood type?

that is usually one of the first things that the hospital lets parents know about their kids and when you go for any blood work it is on the top of the sheet.

i have a very rare blood type and i questioned my boyfriend about his for future knowlege when we have kids.

When he isn't acting like one, doing anything for them, discussing anything etc... My boyfriend is very pleasent... just when anything is brought up (usually by me) he gets weird on me as if he is afraid of giving me the answer or finding it out for himself... I have no problem with his beliefs and I respect that... I just wish that he didn't clam up and not want to find things out that I need to know... and these are things that I must know before we get married, or else I will not be able to be by his side... and he needs to respect the info that I must find out... I really don't even see how he fits in or how he can be with me in the first place, so I am just trying to figure out things on my own to benifit our relationship and better understand him. I need to know if certain things are just him or things that are practiced by the whole community.

I am sorry that you felt that way, I hate that you really can't figure out emotions without using those symbols... I just hate the fact that I have to be a pincusion and I loath having to go through that again.

My boyfriend is such a hypocrite when it comes to things about his beliefs and doesn't let me in on his little world. I am just looking for some info that will give me some ammunition when we DO talk. He has gone for at least 3 blood tests since we have been dating and keeps forgetting to ask.... sure.... right... it doesn't hurt to ask. I am just so frustrated and fed up with his crap... and I want to know if this is a common occurance... and he would never go give blood... it is as if that is just as bad as getting it himself... he didn't even like the fact that I was looking to donate blood!

I know what the procedure is since I have been through it before, and yes it is rare... I have a medical degree so I know all the info, thanks for adding it though... I am just curious if it is normal for him not knowing his...

I have a very rare blood type and I questioned my boyfriend about his for future knowlege when we have kids. If I don't know his type, I will have to be a human pin cusion so that my child won't die from blood poisoning. He refuses to find out and I don't want to know when it is too late... I had to go through it with my first pregnancy since my ex was too chicken to get the test done. I am just curious to find out if this is a common practice and if there are people out there that actually know what theirs happens to be even if they have no intent on using it.

i am currently involved in a relationship for the last year and a half with a man that i found out about 2 months ago is a jehovahs witness (and i am catholic).

the only reason why i found this out, was that i was pushing the issue as to why his parents do not know that i exist.

this really irritated me since he has a very close relationship with his parents.

I understand how converstations work and I see it happen on other boards, and I have added to some of them and I think it is wrong... when you continue to have a conversation completely different from a topic that is honestly looking for advice on that topic and in need of help, it gives me false hope that someone has actually posted something that will help me deal with the situation. When I see an e-mail in my box saying that someone has added a post, I think someone may be there for me. But when I see pages and pages of things that are unrelated, why should I check my post again.... you tell me the answer to that, but I think you know where I am coming from... wasistdas very nicely started another topic so that discussion can continue and I thank her, so then you can go find it and continue from there. Thank you!

So another weird thing happened last night... we were watching a movie last night and when the credits came on, I pressed the stop button but didn't turn off the TV.... Well guess what was on the channel at that time??? Some Jehovah's witness speaking to a group of people.... I really wasn't paying attention to what it was since I was corrupting him at the time... but I knew what it was by the way they were talking, it was quite obvious... He couldn't deal with it and told me to turn it off! I didn't turn it off when I realized what it was because there was no reason to, and if I did, he would probably say that I was only doing it because I don't like what they believe... I guess he couldn't handle breaking the rules while it is staring him in the face or within ear shot... It was hysterical! And I guess he can't handle watching that stuff with me. And for those that are keeping tabs... I haven't watched those videos that he wanted to watch together, and I am not going to bring it up otherwise. It was just really weird... I didn't even know they had programing on the local cable stations!

As I have been exploring the other posts, I have notice that there are a lot of rules in reguard to sex, especially oral sex and limited knowlege of foreplay. Is this something that is just an Oral (oops! there is that word again) tradition, or is it stated somewhere? And what are their reasons for limiting these acts? When I first started seeing people refer to it, I asked my boyfriend about it, especially since he is doing almost everything that they don't allow (sorry but I love corrupting him). He said that he didn't know any official rules about it (other than that sex before marriage is bad) and wanted to know my sources. I am just curious, but it isn't like it is going to change anything about our relations... I am quite happy that he doesn't know about all these other rules.

I really want to thank those that have answered my posts and gave me advice as to what to expect with what I am going through. I really hate to say this, but my post has gotten way off track and has become some thing that I wished that it had not. Lately, everyone seems to be getting mad at everyone else for things that they had posted. Please if you have nothing more to honestly help my situation, please find another place to post your views towards the other people. I came here for help and I am just seeing hate that isn't even relating to me. I am looking for honest answers and everything has turned into slander against someone who has answered me. Please stop this and continue to stay on the topic as much as possible.
