ok so i have had a little bit of family conflict this past week due to my disfellowshiped farther will where he not just inherited someone we didn't know as a full 1/4th inheritor of his estate he also made him the executor of his estate.

i don't actually care about that but i decided to let my fully in jw sister who i still have semi regular contact with of his decision.

apparently, he is the son of my father's former girlfriend who died in february of 2022 where he was still married to my mother until she passed away in july of 2022. .

Ok continuation because I have been off this board so long I don't know how it works on a cellphone. I joined in around 2005 and was active for a few years and then Facebook happened and I haven't really been back since.

I wasn't trying to interfere or anything but as his daughter and medical emergency contact I should at least have this man's phone number or email or the name of the lawyer who drew up the will to contact if something happened to my 73 recently diagnosed COPD suffering dad in case something happened to him. I've been asking for this iinformation for over a year now.

I've been doing this while I'm in contact with my full shunning sister and her elder husband. I'm only trying to take care of my dad because he is 72 no almost 73 and was recently diagnosed with COPD. Let's be real he isn't going to live forever and we had a whole issue when my mom died that made my dad angry about that situation so I was trying to prevent that situation from happening again.

I don't care about any possibility of money, that wasn't my priority at all.

Because of my father's disrespect of me and after what happened with my mom I'm so done with any Jehovah's Witness in my life. I told my dad I didn't want to be his emergency medical contact anymore and I want to be removed from him will. I'm so done with this in my life and I won't tolerate anybody screaming at me like he did anymore. The only issue left is I actually adopted one of his 4 dogs in my name and if something happened to him and she is still around I would fight for her. His other 3 dogs can and will be fet alone until the executor of his estate comes up with a plan. I'm doing a hard shun from now on.

The only thing I will do is sign the paperwork for him to be cremated.

Anyway, I came here to post about this because I know anyone who had read this far I thank you and any suggestions are accepted.

I was texting and speaking to my sister about that situation because I didn't want her and my brother to be blindsided by this. The only info I knew was his mother's first name. My sister must have some amazing Google skills because within 15 minutes of us getting off the phone where I had only been able to provide a first name, my sister found not only her but the executor of my dad's estate she sent them to me and asked if that was her and based on my limited knowledge of that relationship I said yes.

He's supposed to be my dad's executor for his estate. My sister raised the idea to me that may in fact be a half sibling we didn't know. I never even thought that. So my sister tasked me with trying to get ahold of him via Facebook or any other means I could.

I was speaking with an exjw friend and explained the who do we call when dad dies issue and since I knew his name and she had even better internet skills she provided me with 2 possible phone numbers for him. I called both and within 15 minutes I had my dad on the phone screaming at me because he texted my dad and let him know he wants nothing to do with me or my siblings. He screamed at me like I was a young child and when I tried to explain and reel him down to earth again he kept getting fired up and screaming at me like I was 3 years old.

All I was trying to do was figure out who to contact in case he died. I wasn't trying to make friends or anything because I don't and never wanted that all I wanted was a phone number and a name to contact in case my dad dies.

I have had enough with my dad and his disfellowshiped but believer behind to last me a life time. My dad this week told me I was his emergency medical contact if something happened to him. My uncle never been a witness if his medical power of attorney and this rando according to my dad not related is his executor of his estate. I didn't even know what attorney wrote the will so if something happened to him I would be first contact but I had no other way to get in contact with the executor of the estate not even through the lawyer that wrote the will.

All I had asked for from my dad was to give me a name and phone number to call should he pass away. I actually had a conversation with my dad asking him his end of life wishes. Blood, no blood blood fractions. What would he accept.

I spoke to my uncle who is my dad medical power of attorney early today and he had no idea of his wishes and isn't and never was a Jehovah's Witness. He didn't know my dad doesn't want a transfusion in whole blood and he also expressed a desire for no fractions even to save his life.

Imagine this situation coming to play. Dad has a horrible accident or illness where blood could help him but the person he appointed has never had a discussion about his wishes and didn't know he had that possible authority. We had that talk. I know his wishes. My uncle didn't until I told him.

The end all be all is I have an ex witness friend who I spoke today and explained it to and she had a membership on a site that allows you to look up information and she gave me 2 possible phone numbers so I called them. I tried through Facebook to message him over a week ago and I got no response. So I called the numbers to see if he would answer to verify that was who he was and I got no answer. About 15 minutes later my dad calls me screaming that this executor of his estate got my phone call and never wanted me to contact him again. I got screamed at like I was a 3 year old because in my eyes I've been trying to make sure my dad's wishes were taken care of.

It's been years since I posted here. My JW mother died July 5th. It was quite honestly not that emotional for me. I'm not sure of it's a JW issue or a I don't give a crap issue. I've actually had more feelings about the queen dying then my actual mother.

Do they still have the CA in the hall on Vine Street in Willoughby? I hated that place especially after they remolded it and took out the wall in the back. I am from Cleveland BTW.

It has been awhile since I have posted here. I have been busy. LOL I have two weeks left in school and I am excited to get it done.

Thanks everyone for the congratulations. It means a lot to me.I can tell everyone that it is worth going after what you want because you have zero chance of having your dreams come true by sitting by and wishing for things to just happen. I used to have a fully laid out plan for when I won the lottery and that included going to college. I never thought I had it in me to just go for it and take a chance before. Now I only regret not doing it sooner.

I actually have my first job as a graduate working as a temp for a project at the biggest hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. It won't last long, but it is something I can add to the old resume. After that my career is up in the air until I find a full time job.

I started this topic 5 years ago letting everyone know I had decide to get my GED and go to college in hopes of getting an education so that I could have a career instead of just a job. I wanted fulfillment and a future, not just another job that has no really future in it.

I have been going to college for 5 years now. I graduate on May 14, 2015. I will graduate with 2 degrees and a certificate. I am also a graduating member of the Honors program at my school and a member of Phi Theta Kappa ( honor society for 2 year colleges.) It took me 5 years to finally graduate with the degree I wanted. I changed my major in 2012 and that set me back about 1 1/2 years. I had no idea when I started that I would want to actually get my bachelors degree and when I found this out about myself I didn't even think twice and i decided to just go for it.

I will receive an Associates of Art, an Associates of Applied Science in Health Information Management Technology, and a certificate in Medical Billing and Coding. I am also a graduating member of my schools Honors Program and Phi Theta Kappa (international honor society for 2 year colleges.)

I have applied for and been accepted into one of the best programs in my field in the US at the University of Cincinnati to get my bachelors degree in Health Information Management Administration. I want to work in compliance in a hospital. I want to make sure the hospital is following the laws and is in compliance with it's accreditation entity requirements.

I will graduate with honors, Cum Laude, and move on finally. I feel like I have been stuck for a while now because it felt like I wasn't moving on. Along the way I met my 2 best friends, I made many friends in my fellow class mates and co-workers. I have worked for 3 years at my school as a Student Ambassador, which if you talked to the president of my Campus is the "Best of the Best" students on campus. I have enjoyed working there. I really feel like I have made an impact on many students and I have helped to encourage them to keep going.

The best part of all of this is that I learned to believe in myself and to trust my instincts. I learned that I can do anything I put my mind to. I learned that I am really an artist at heart. I learned that I have many talents and I can keep going without letting anything or anyone get in my way.

I am really proud of my accomplishments. I worked really hard to get this far. I have been accepted into the University of Cincinnati to complete my Bachelors of Science degree in "Health Information Management Administration" in the fall. The program is very competitive and not easy to get into and I got into it early. I was the first applicant to be accepted for the fall.

I can't believe I am really going to graduate. When I started I just wanted to see if college was something I could do. I wasn't sure due to the lack of education and encouragement i got growing up JW that I was even going to finish my first semester. Not only did I finish my first semester I made the Dean's Honors List . No one was more shocked than I was at that outcome. I made the Dean's Honors List 4 more times after that.

Anyway, i have come a long way and I am excited that I finally get to walk across a stage with a cap and gown on. It is exciting and scary at the same time. I am not sure how I will feel about it while it is happening. I think I will cry for joy for the second time in my life. My parents will be there to finally see one of their kids walk a stage and get a diploma.

I want everyone to feel the way I feel right now. Go after your dreams. Don't let anything or anyone to get in your way of your dream.

I would never say they are an insane family. You can't blame anyone in the family for the actions of Castro. He alone was the one who did those horriable things to Amanda, Gina, and Michelle. His sister and his nephew never showed any signs of anything like that.

I actually feel really bad for John because like I said before he was always the first to ask how someone was doing. He was a very sweet man and I to this day respect him for the way he always treated people in our hall. I could tell he was one of those who wasn't an elder for the power or position, he was an elder because he really cared for the people in his hall.

I would say that the only problem I ever saw in this family was that the son was pretty much allowed to run the show. He was spoiled and indulged and never disiplined for anything. I do remember that whenever he would get caught doing something it was never his fault. He was his mothers perfect angel. I am sure that his parent lost that illusion years ago when he left the JW's and started doing drugs.

It was pretty sad when I heared that the kid was on drugs because he was the next Bethalite if you asked his mom. There were times that I felt sorry for the kid because his mom seemed to push him at times to make going to Bethal his goal. She was a long time pioneer and his dad was a long time popular elder so really his life was pretty much set up for him the second he was born.

Yes NeverKnew that is the father of this kid. He is also an elder or at least was an elder in my old hall before I DA ed 15 years ago. I really feel sorry for the parents Juan and Marisol Alicea. John, as he was called in our english hall, was always the first elder to say hi to you and always concerened about how you were doing.
