Yeah your probally right. Simple carbs sound right. I just heard carbs and white food. That's why I have to go to a nutritionist so I can learn the diffrence.

I was told I have diabetes today

i have to test my blood to see if it can be contorlled by diet or if i have to take meds for it.
for the next 2 weeks i have to test my blood 2 times a day.

Did the doctor give any advice on how to manage your meals, considering the type of job you have?
No not yet. She set me to a nutritionist who is supposed to help me lear about a diabetic diet. She did tell me to avoid anything white like flour and pasta and complex carbs.

My doctor told me I have it. I have to test my blood to see if it can be contorlled by diet or if I have to take meds for it. For the next 2 weeks I have to test my blood 2 times a day. Then the doctor will have a base line to go on and decide if I need meds or not. In the mean time I have to go on a dibetic diet. I also have to get my eyes checked. The doctor gave me 2 new meds to take 1 for cholesterol and 1 to keep my kidneys healthy. I also have to take low does asprin everyday for my heart.
I'll probally have to test my blood all the time for now on. The doctor said if I do need meds I'll get oral ones because I'm not that bad. My blood sugar was in the 150's. Normal is between 90 and 130 so I'm just over that. Not really bad but enough to cause concern.
Now I have to learn how to test my blood. They gave me a meter and some strip things and a thing to poke myself. It's a whole system to test my blood. It hurts to poke my finger. Anyone else have this???

by thebigdebate ini have heard from my father (who is an elder about 50 years old) that there is a great seperating work going on within the org.
he said that almost all of the people my age 25 to 35 have quit going to our hall (about 20 people).
i have not been to a meeting in about 1 year.

I'm not surprized at all. I'm in that age group. I left myself at 23 almost 24. That was almost 10 years ago. I know lots others my age who have left as well. It's alomost like the JW's have lost a whole generation. Look at the ages of a lot of the posters on this board. Tons in their 20's and 30's.
That Pew report a few months ago said that JW's only keep 37% of those born in. The worst out of all the religions in the report. That struck me as just about right.

The last time I went to a convention it was to drop my wheelchair bound mother off. I pushed her through the convention center to her seat and walked out the door shortly after. Only to come face to face with my grandfather while lighting a smoke. I needed a smoke after that.

I bought it at walmart and I paid 200.00 for it. I don't know how many songs it holds. I would say a ton because it's not even half full and I loaded a lot of CD's on it so far.

A raodster huh?? Well I was planning on getting one I just didn't know what it was called. My friend has an ipod and listens to it while driving a cab. If you park close enough to him in his cab you can tune your radio to his ipod and hear what he's listening to. I was going to ask him what the thing was called that let him do that.
I have all of the songs on my ipod already on CD. The ones I didn't have on CD I backed up with a burned CD.

My doctor told me I may need one in a few months. I have symptoms of IBS and the doctor put me on a high fiber diet. If that doesn't work he said I may need one to rule out colon cancer. He says I'm way to young to have that so we're going with the fiber first.
I told my mom about it. She told me I wouldn't like it. I wanted to ask her if it was worse than anal sex but I didn't.
