Do you like where you live?

i live in the southern united states.

i'm not too fond of the state i'm in but i'm within close driving distance of some very cool places.

the people in the south are awesome, very hospitable.

I live in a nice suburb of Cleveland Ohio.I'm very close to Cleveland's downtown.Cleveland has a lovely art museam and a cool zoo.We also have The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame and Museam right smack in downtown Cleveland.Not to mention we have the Browns and the Cavs and the Indians.Cleveland is the home of Labron James.We also have Lake Erie.We have 2 amusment parks Ceader Point and Geauga Lake with in a half and hour drive.We have a House of Blues downtown.Tons and tons of cool things to do.The live music seen around here is great.I know this little hole in a wall bar that has a live Blues jam every Wensday.Tons of people come out to play and sing and jam together.

So yeah I like where I live.One of these days I'm going to take a "vacation" and go to all the places in town I want to see.The suburb I live in is a nice aera.It's very cool blend of young family's and seinors.It's very samll town and it's big city at the same time.We have tons of lovely older homes that are well kept.We have poor people and very rich people.Most are middle class.My town also has the reputation for being the gay capital of Ohio.It's supposed to be the San Fran of the mid west.All in all it's a cool place to live.

I also like my city because they have refused to let the JW's build a KH.How can they do that?Well my city has little to no land to build on.What has been built on in the last year has been used for housing.The JW's sold the local KH a couple of years ago because of black mold in the building.The WTS made them do it.Now they have no place to have meet in town and have to drive about 20 minutes away to another county to go to the KH.

I know Snoozy.I've read about it before.The support offered here is wonderful.People here are great.I found that out when my Grandpa died.This board was the only place I felt like posting about my feelings.There was a time when I would have done that on JWO but not now.I must have out grown that board.

I belong to like 7 or 8 Ex JW boards.I'm a mod on one and admin of my own(it was given to me).My board is dead though.My first board was JWF.From there I joined JWD.All though I don't read here or post here much I still like JWD.My home board was JWO(the board that shall not be mentioned LOL!!).I still read JWO but I don't think of it as my home board anymore.I've been reading here more and more lately.On all the other boards it seems like it's all the same people at all of them.Here I have a chance to talk to or read and get to know more people.Here I get to read people who are not on those other boards.

I love to read.I like reading the boards because I get a chance to see life with other peoples eyes.I also have a ton of time each week on my hands.I only work 3 night a week and I take the rest off.

I think I know who started this new board.I didn't see the thread so I'm not for sure this persons board is the one in this thread.I think the board your all taking about was started by a poster on JWO whom I wouldn't trust with any personal information.He's a huge troll on JWO.I believe this new board everyones talking about is Ironglands board.Anyone who knows anything about this person wouldn't post on his board.IMHO

after this past trip to ohio, i have become painfully more aware of how alone i am.

i miss having someone to share my life with.. .

im almost to the point of dating again, yet i have so many obstacles to overcome.. .

JG your one of the nicest guys on these boards.I think you have a lot to offer a lady.I agree with the people telling you to find yourself before getting into another relationship. And get over your ex before you get involved with another woman.I can relate to that myself.I broke up with my EX boyfriend in Febuary.I still miss him.He was the first man I ever loved.

I have since been on a mission to get to know myself.What I want in a man and what I have to offer a man.I have also been working on expressing my feelings which I have a hard time doing (I never told my EX I loved him).There are other things I'm am working on as well.I am working hard at expressing my feelings and not just pushing them down and ignoring them.I am also working hard at making myself happy.I don't need another person to be happy I am happy all on my own.A man will add to my happyness but will never be my only source of happyness.

Work on being happy by yourself.Do things you like to do.Go places you like to go.Be happy on your own first.

One of the keys of happyness for me was finaly getting a car after 3 years of not having one.My sence of self has gone way up because I don't have to get rides or take the bus.I have my freedom back.I still have goals I need to accomplish before I get back into dating.When I feel ready I'm going to get right back on the horse and meet a man.And when I do I'll tell him how I feel about him I'll let myself be open to someone else even if it means I'll get hurt.

i'm going to buy my first laptop in the next week or two.i want to know what else i'll end up needing to go online with it at a wifi hotspot?there are a few of them around where i live at coffee shops and things like that.do i need a wireless service provider when i'm at these hot spots??.

also what would you recomend i get for use at home?i have a dsl modem that will allow me to have 4 computers pluged into one modem.i want to be able to use my laptop anywhere in my house.what do i need to reach these goals with a laptop??.

i've heard of wireless cards and wireless routers.but i don't know what they do or if i need them.i've never used a laptop before i have only ever used a desktop..

Thank you all so much for your input.I've decided to wait and research before I make an impulse purchase as big as this one was going to be.Instead I'm going to get a new tower for my desktop which is what I was shopping for in the first place.At least with a desktop I know I can expand it and change it to suit my needs if I want to.I'll let you know when I get my new desktop.

Bascialy I want to be able to surf the web while I'm out at diffrenet places.I want to be able to burn DVD's and CD.I want to be able to some how get my CD's into MP3 because I want to buy myself a Ipod for Christmas.I want to be able to put whatever song from my CD's I want on my Ipod I don't know how to do that yet but I will learn.I'm not a gamer.I don't download music from the web.I don't watch TV on my computer.I don't want this laptop to totaly replace my desktop.I just don't want to be stuck in my bedroom like I currantly am.So being able to move around the house and still be on the web is important.Or being able to go out and get somthing to eat and surf the web would be nice.

I just go from site to site and read mostly.I chat some also.I might want to take it to work with me.I drive a taxi so I would have to park outside of a WiFi place to surf the web while at work mostly on Sunday nights when I'm slow.I don't need it for my business.I would also like to take it with me if I travel.

I'm not a tecky type person.I do know that the computer I have now needs to be replaced.My currant desktop doesn't even have a CD burner.I'm not wanting the latest and greatest in the computer world.I'm not that good with computers as it is.That's why I was looking for a good used computer.Nothing special.

I looked at it.My only question is does it have a DVD burner??I really need one of those.I have videos I need to be able to burn on to a DVD and give to my family on my camera.

I called the guy back today.There are 3 options.

First is the Compaq EVO for 379.00

Pentiam 4

Second is an HP for 379.00

Pentiam M

1.7 gig

256 negs of ram XP Pro

40 gig hard drive

Dvd player CD burner

Built in wireless

Third is a DEll Esporon 6000 for 579.00

Pentiam M

1.7Gig

512 megs

80 gig hard drive

Windows XP Pro

Built in wireless

DVD/R CD/R

The third looks like my best option but it's 200.00 more than the other 2.I don't know anything about these brands so which would you get??

I don't know what model it is.I asked and the guy told me but I forgot.I'll call back up there tomorrow and get all the spects for it.

As far as the XP V Vista.The main reason I want XP is because my digital camera will not work with Vista.I bought it this year but the driver and programs only support up to XP.It's the same with my printer.I would have to go and spend even more money on a new camera and a new printer.

So the router sends a signal to the laptop??Does the laptop need anything more than the wireless card to recieve the signal??And where would I get a wireless router from??

I'm going with the used one because I don't want Vista.I've heard nothing but bad things about it.This is a newer used laptop completely reconditioned.It's a Compaq not some un heard of named laptop that will die in a year.It's less than half the price of those no named ones in walmart.
