My mother almost did. Back in the late 70's she had a JC. They gave her a month to lose weight. She went on a starvation diet and lost 40 pounds. She got reproved instead.

Thanks VM44, but I already passed the test back in January. I passed it the first time I took it. Now I'm going to college this month. I'm very excited about that.

Well I thought I would update this. I passed my GED test on the first try. I recived my diploma in January. I was very proud of myself. I'm starting College August 30. I can't wait. Everything is all set now.
I ended up moving to Kentucky in January, which didn't work out for me so, I ended up moving back to Ohio in July. I think of it as an experiment that didn't work out. So now I'm back in Cleveland and I'm all set to start college at the end of August. I'm excited. Even though my plan was delayed by the moves, I never gave up my dream. In fact I had college almost set up in Kentucky. No matter what I am going to college.
It's funny my first class on my first day at college is going to be math. LOL

White People are victims of racism too.
by donny inyou need to look no further than the well acclaimed glenn beck show to find proof that white folks (a.k.a.
"light-skinned") are viticms of racism from obama!

Recipes for Pig Tails
by snowbird inwhen i was a child, my mother used to cook pig tails a lot.. she would stew them down in onions, peppers, and other spices.
then she would dust them lightly with flour and brown them in the oven.
they were simply delicious.. i haven't had any for a while now due to blood pressure problems.

First I start by seperating my hair into two even sections. Then I comb one of them into a pony tail and put a hair band around it to hold it. Then I do the same on the other side. I check to see if they are even. I don't want to look like lopsided. That is how I make pig tails.

I don't tan anywhere. Not in tanning bed or outside. I stay away from the sun. I'm scared of getting skin cancer. It also ages you. I was at a fest a couple of weeks ago where I met some posters from this board, and another board, and I was told I look like a teenager. I'm 35 almost 36. I get carded all the time. No one ever guesses my age correctly. I also don't use those make up spongy things they give you in eye make up. I never have. I always use brushes. I also wear sun glasses where ever I'm going outside and it's bright. I don't like to squint my eyes at all.
I think, although not proven, that this method has kept me looking years younger than I am.
I could probably use some vitamin D though.

Bitterness
by LostGeneration inhow do you overcome this?
i just got done reading isocf and toward the end ray warns against bitterness.
i guess i just can't agree with that.

I know I had no control over what religion I was born into so I have no bitterness towards it. My parents made that choice for me. I'm not bitter towards them either, because I know they were only doing what they thought best at the time. My parents proved to me that they love me before they will follow a religions rules. They don't shun me. All in all my life has been ok so far. Not perfect or great but ok.
Holding onto bitterness over this will only hurt you in the long run. It's ok to be angry, but the goal should be to work it out and forgive. Not for anyone else but for yourself.
