I don't understand the question, but since no one has replied I thought I'd reply so you wouldn't feel bad because no one replied.

Once when wI were about 10, 11 and 12 my brother, cousin and I were sitting in the back row of this tiny kh in Chinook Mt. A teenage sister in the row in front of us let one rip right at the beginning of the closing prayer. Of course, Orville gave one of his 15 minute marathon prayers while we tried to keep from laughing. From time to time we'd laugh right out loud. Just couldn't help it. My mother was sitting a couple of rows ahead and kept trying to motion us to go outside, but, of course, we didn't get the point because it would never have occurred to us to do something so evil as leave during the prayer so we just kept laughing. I'll never forget that one.

I'm majoring in Spanish at Arizona State University. I graduate with a BA on the 19th of this month at the age of 53. Yea! I've enjoyed it so much that I'm going to do my masters in Spanish linguistics. I applied for a Fulbright grant hoping I can do my masters in Mexico. Wish me luck. Did I say luck? yes, luck.

Why be so nice to religion?
by IronGland init seems to me that in the u.s. most anything religious is always considered a good thing.
nearly all media go out of their way for religious organizations in ways they rarely would for anything else.
for all the religion bashing whining that the christians do in this country, i rarely see anything in public that bashes religion any more than anything or anyone else.

Maybe there is a God, but as far as I can tell he's never said a thing to anyone or made his presence known in any way, so for all practical purposes they are inseperable.
Good point. Each person creates god in his own image. That way he can have just the god he wants. Some like him warpped in religion, other like him without organized religion, but they're all pretty religious.
BTW, are you a member of FFRF? Did you go to the convention this year. I missed it, darn!

MrMoe, Thank-you!
I also miss some of my former friends from before my departure from JWism. I believe some JW's are really good people that have been misled. I don't really miss my mother because she was always ashamed of me because from a very young age it was apparent that I was gay. My brohter and I were never close so I don't miss him either, but I sure miss my daughter. I married at the age of 20 at the advice of the elders. They said marriage would "cure" me. We all know what their advice is worth. I left my X and jw's when my daughter was 19, ten years ago. I know it's hard on her too, but I don't know what to do about it.
As far as paradise is concerned I guess I never really believed it. I had problems understanding some of Christianity's basic beliefs such as the ransom sacrifice, so I never really believed any of it. How sad it that since I stayed until I was 42? I have a large extended family that are all JW's and I gave in to the pressure to conform.
On the bright side, I'm graduating from college next month and starting graduate school in January. I was always angry that I had let the jw's keep me from going to college, so I a couple of years ago I decided to do something about it. Better late than never.

Undercover - that's exactly what I did. Rasied my daughter as a jdub and really screwed her up. I sure wish I'd left the dubs when she was young so she could have had a life.
