ive never been punished like that i my home.

my family always talked to me and we would decide a non-physical punishment.

i was wandering, is still common for jw family to spank their children and if so, does the spanking continue into their late teens, even adults.

Having been born to Japanese and Russian parents and later adopted into an all Japanese family. and having married a Norwigen woman, I feel slightly qualified to answer your question.

Long term Inter-racial relationships have a very good chance of surviving in todays American society. Here in Los Angeles it has become almost a non-issue. In Georgia things may be a little different , however racism is at least less overt. I make the assumption that you both are American.

The real issue, as I see it, has not to do with race but with culture and social-economics. It is my opinion that we live in a classest society and those differences should hold more importance. Also, two people from very different cultures can have fundamental differences that could hamper a long term relationship. Child rearing could cause a deep divide with respect to the aforementioned.

In addition, it has been written in this thread that opposites attract. While this may be true, the long term implications could be frustrating at best. Culture and whatnot aside, one only has to imagine a partner who is content to spend their leisure time watching movies on a couch while their spouse likes nothing more than sky-diving.

Having said all that, I think the real issue here is not how much money or what color, rather the question is about compromising. As soon as two people get to gether in any situation, one will push their agenda on another.The ability to change is the key factor in a long term relationship. Think back to how things were ten years ago compared to today and you should be able to see how things constantly evolve. Imagine yourself ten years from now and I'm sure you will be something else again. Life and relationships are a crapshoot at best and people with the best intentions often grow apart. It has been my experience that those couples who are empithetic towards each other seem to survive whatever life throws at them.

Someone once told me that we should walk a mile in our partners shoes. there is two reasons for this. The first is that your a mile away from them and the second is that you have their shoes. just kidding. Good Luck

i have never heard of this before, but i think it is worth knowing.. i have come across a rather strange story.

yes it is legitimate and some details are left out to protect this persons identity.. this lady is having problems in her feet and hands.

the doctors find that gangrene is setting in.. it is decided that the legs up to the knees must be removed to stop the spread of septic infection.. the fingers are also to be removed because the infections are starting in the extremities.. it is discovered that a tampon has been left in the vagina for a long time.

Rootcause-

this message thread became fruitless when you stopped answering DIRECT questions that were asked multiple times. You have failed to do so in every instance.

I will make a deal with you. My partner at work is a JW. I will start to study with him if you can answer Abaddon's post #4501. Two direct and simple questions on what this thread is all about.

Hint: leave out all the Ants, cancer, vitaminC, Acid Based Equilibrium, Atoms or Ozonating Pork and any other happy horse hockey you use to evade an answer.

Rootcause-

Shoot the flare! Punt! It seems to be getting harder for you to answer any of jgnat's questions. There are a good many folks on this forum who debate VERY well. They have ripped you to shreds.You are toast, my friend.

I have been lurking here for months. It is my escape for a few minutes after work every day. I feel as if I have gotten to know these people in a small way. I have learned a great deal. Many posters have been lied to and crapped on in ways I can only imagine. They have come through this smarter, wiser and stronger.

Here's some free advice: Do like me and read all catagories. Learn the posters and their motivations. they are here for each other, and you too, if you chose. At best in a few months you will see the real truth. At worst you might be able to form an arguement without making a shmuck out of yourself.
