Why people don't believe in God
by pressman indo you want to know why i think people don't believe in god?
well i believe people don't want to believe in god because they are scared.
they know that if they finally do gorge the confidence to believe in him, he might discipline them for their skepticism.

If there was such a thing as a God like the bible describes, the answer is - because he does not believe in us. -

Sorry about that timelord and best wishes, you will get there I'm sure. I'm amazed really that the borg is getting so much into the tech world. I'm sure they figure that if anyone does muck with their material online that it probs won't matter too much because the end is so close anyway. It does surprize me though for such an inspired group that they are.
When you look at how the Brethren or specifically the exclusive keep the members away from the tech world they actually do a much better job at keeping their flock separate from the world.
I would really have thought that the internet to the dubs was something, that because they could not effectively control it, they would take a dim view of it and counsel strongly against? Maybe they have given up and the GB really are of to South America and the sheeple will be left to the wolves? Wishful thinking..

Yep gotta say I'm with Trinity. I do get the freedom of expression etc. but really these guys are so Serious! The meetings are so serious in nature, so formal it would make me sick to enter that tripe again and yes they will think that they have given a great witness because of it. And? -

Something a CO once said.
by cappytan in"there are only three reasons you should miss a meeting.
fever, fracture or funeral.
everything else is a sorry excuse.

Loving it so far. It's always a bit of fun when it's at the dubs expense no? CO's are just bludging a holes who stay at peoples house's drink there wine and eat their food ( did at ours anyways ). I heard this same CO from the stage with bulging neck veins who was cackling on about worldly influences call this old school pop music show (which we all watched as teenagers called Ready to Roll) Ready to Rape. OMG yes we all cringed - because it was ready to rape the minds of the youth. It was all we could talk about later and couldn't remember anything else he said.= Muppet. -

And so it begins...
by StarTrekAngel inwife and i have not reported a single hour of fs in 3-4 months.
while my wife is mostly doing for me (positive thing), i know she would have rather done it.
elder asked me to turn in my fs report this past week and then he added... "we need to talk".

Well said Gayle! Perfect. Sad as it might be for a while there I just put down what I wanted for hours and placements! Then that got boring too but it was a bit of fun. Since they taught us so well to pretend and create double lives - pretending that you are really sorry works for a bit as well. Then they just give up because actually underneath it they don't care and are too busy warding off the brownnosers. -

Hounded to his Death

This is incredibly sad. It does not make sense. The article was badly written and why not just come out and say whoever was 'monitoring' his computer? Don't even know how they would do that unless you had connections with homeland security. Maybe they do eh? Dubs with deep pockets and all. Wifi wouldn't do it but I'm not an expert.
It is sad. Where was the help, there is always a reason why people do what they do and usually it's that there needs are not being met somewhere. Totally agree with DOC, it should be about support buts it's not and eh, someone disliked DataDog. I enjoyed the honesty in your post DD. That's real life and I'm sure the big J will make them pay one day or that is what I was always told when I saw injustice - yeah right. Cheers

The "great crowd" before 1935 and since
by Doug Mason inwhat was the seismic shift in thinking that rutherford required when he created the great multitude in 1935?
when did the great multitude, or the great crowd as it is now known, become jehovahs witnesses?.

Thanks Doug. I really do admire all the research done by loads of folk here. I find it interesting and informative to confirm once again why I no longer believe what the slave says so good on you! Cheers -

I got an AA too but I still really love red wine. It's so not about letters after your name it's about life experience. -

Yep get the negative comments but really this was not about convincing the currents to leave it was about prospective not joining. Who really cares - it was bloody funny and I for one dreamed of putting my hand up to answer and come out with something they would prefer not to hear, never had the guts though. Good job guys -

she passed faithful to the end to them!
by jookbeard injust found out (second hand of course) and by someone on here that my faithful jw mum passed away within the last couple of days, dont know the exact day, and what cause, she spent the last few years living with my fanatical sister, she was 65 and survived my father by 10 years, bitter, angry and hateful till the end and never as so much enquired or asked how her 2 grandchildren ever were , they are 5 and 7!
feeling a mixture of emotions right now, they were lousy parents in all honesty, she suffered health wise so maybe its for the best, dont even know when the funeral is!

Oh wow. Geez that is terrible. Best wishes to you and yours. Just know that in her heart she loved you but may not have been able to show it. Take care
