  Film Scenes that got burnt onto your memory

  what were some film scenes that pleased or horrified you so much that they stayed vivid in your memory for a long time?

  the one i always recall is the scene where anthony hopkins (playing as hannibal lector) lobotomised ray liotta (paul krendler) cutting off pieces of his brain and giving them to him to eat.

  he also took some of liotta's cooked brain in a plane and gave them to an unsuspecting passenger boy sitting next to him to eat.

  The scene that still sticks in my mind is the shot of the shower drain from Psycho. I swear I saw RED blood going down the drain.

  JW couples don't love each other

  has anyone else ever noticed this in the kh?

  married couples don't seem to show any affection to each other.

  however, when a couple is dating, they will hold hands.

  I have seen nothing of the sort. However I personally feel that such is NOT for public viewing. It's none of my business.

  By the way, I don't see many people in general going around in public making overt gestures of affection. Those that have been together awhile seem to be able to do so without anyone else knowing, the way it should be!

  Locks of Love--Can you ever imagine JWs doing such a thing?

  today hundreds of people are volunteering their hair for an org that provides wigs to cancer pts.

  the today show in nyc had a few folks allow their long hair to be cut for donation and there are hundreds in another locale doing the same.

  there are even little kids doing it!.

  Two questions, 1. Where are charity works prohibited?

  2. Who's fault is it that your mother felt the need to ask the elders?

  Charity is and was up to the individual, been there done that. The difference is that I would never reveal my charitable works as per Matthew 6:1-4

  we had a weekend away a couple of weeks ago.

  i took a few classic dvd's along in case the weather turned sour.. so i watched ghost with demi moore, that pottery scene has to be one of my favourite ever..........gives me goosebumps!

  but it's not my favourite movie of all time/ i'm embarrassed to admit it, but ok i will, cause i'm with friends!

  I should believe this because? So, because Walmart purchases a large volume of product from a supplier, you think they take shortcuts or lower it's quality somehow?

  When I worked for Marriott, a very large name in hotels/ foodservice, Marriott's suppliers gave them a lower price than what other, smaller companies paided. Did Pepsi or Coke somehow change their products to keep these prices low?

  Sorry, I don't accept it.

  Why is Walmart "evil"?

  
  If Walmart has the best price for something, why should I pay more somewhere else?

  Living in a rural area, options are limited. I welcome Walmart to the area as it saves me not only on purchases, but also on gas and other travel expenses involved in going to other areas to shop.

  Please, I have seen the "horror stories" about how poorly Walmart treats their employees. Yet I know several people who work there and LOVE it. They paint a different picture from these "horror stories".

  i was out last night with my friend that i went to church with a couple weeks ago (he's presbyterian) and i asked him if he had been to church lately and he told me that him and his family went to the main church in town instead of his little one in the country.

  then he told me that his aunt and cousins got up and left the service because it was a woman minister??

  so i asked if they were allowed to have women ministers and he said no that it is against the bible ..."the bible clearly says that women are not to have authority in chuch/congregations..." .

  i am moving soon to pennsylvania and no one will know i live there.

  i've always had a great desire to play some tricks on the poor jabba's witnesses stuck out in street work and liven up thier drab routine.
