  Tokens of Affection

  many years ago, as a young child, i purchased my mother a gift when she was in the hospital.

  it is a pot painted with purple orchids and it came with flowering bulbs to plant, which has a little saying on it "a mother's love fills the world with happiness.

  " every trinket that i bought or made over the years, my mother cherished.

  i've only been in and out on the boards to check and comment on some threads i was on.

  tink and i have had a stressful few weeks.

  my place of employment is taking a beating with the down swing of the economy.

  well, i finaly saw the movie stigmata, and it was about the catholic church, i don't want to demean any catholics here but made an observation on how similiar the catholic church and the watchtower is,.

  vatican-----governing body.

  excommunicate-----disfellowship.

  actually,,,,they are expanding.....hubby told me they are building a "huge" complex.....i think,,,but i am not sure,,,,,he said by the farm....that is why they are slowly doing away with bethel sites...

  Today was his day....

  today my son anthony michael turned 18!!!!

  it is a very happy but bittersweet day.

  he thought we had forgotten him, but i had arranged with his swimteam coach to bring the boys over on the pretext of them going out for dinner after practice.

  ok, bro-in-law came and picked me up at 9:15 am, drove 45 mins to anderson to what used to be the ss office which is now a medical clinic and had to call the ss office to find their new location and found it next to the national guard armory.

  went in, took a number which was 84, the person being served was 81. surprisenly not alot of people in today (maybe it's the weather, it's cold out there today) waiting in line.

  being in a ss office like i used to remember when i first applied for ssi at the age of 14 while in center on deafness school was like waiting for a new dl and plates in a bmv office.

  i talked to my brother the other day.

  we got into a discussion about his running away at age 12. i didn't see him for 10 years, until his high school graduation in chicago.

  i missed a big part of his life.

  I need help breaking a habit-----------

  i have had this habit since i was 4. i stopped for a while, and honestly don't know why i quit for a while but i did.

  it is bitting my nails.

  hi jesika,,,,,nail biting is just awful!!!!!!!!!!! been there,,,done that....you have been under so much pressure lately....try keeping a small note book handy and write in it every couple of hours,,as a reminder NOT TO CHEW YOUR NAILS.....and how you have done in the past couple of hours...

  in time,,,you will get stronger.....i know it is not much,,,but hope it helps alittle....best wishes...

  called the 800# listed on the back of my food stamp card.

  we're calling it a shopping card so the kids don't blurt out food stamps.

  anyway, i have funds on my card so i'm going shopping tonight.
