How about this one ?

i was visiting some friends from out of state that had moved there from my hometown.

when one of the friends that was from their cong.

( pioneer ) said they wanted to get their time started before are 4 hour trip to a national park walked into a supermarket to hand out a tract.

Oh, I have heard stories like that. For instance, when some of the witnesses go on airplane trips they bring along a Watchtower or Awake and leave it in the pocket of the seat. They will then count their trip as field service time.

Of course, there are those pioneers that count their time at District Conventions sitting with the contribution boxes or in the mothers nursing rooms holding the signs to tell everyone to shut up. Funny thing though is that pioneers are the only ones allowed to count their time at those events. They are the only ones that it counts as sacred service.

Well, Princess, I didn't almost run you over and you are cussing me out, too. The guy was breaking the law. Hence, I almost hit him through no fault of my own. And, if you noticed, I apologized to him. I didn't have to do that. He was in the wrong, like you are. Maybe, you will get off your high and mighty throne and say your sorry.

District Convention Resolution?

i've seen some threads here on the dcs this year but i don't remember reading about a resolution that may have been passed.

i saw this on another discussion board and have no idea if it's accurate or not.

it is posted that this occurred on sunday during the last talk.

Are they asking the R&F to follow their course in taking this resolution? What do they think is the purpose of telling everyone that mumbo jumbo?

Uuhhh, I really hope you were exaggerating here. Losing control and intending to hurt someone else is road rage.

Na, but I am glad he got hit. He had it coming and he didn't get hurt just bent up his bicycle.

Field Service?

i don't know if any one else here has made this observance but..... today as i was running errands around town i noticed quite a few witnesses out in the ministry.

on a thursday, no less, but it wasn't that they were at peoples doors.

they were all just driving around.

Today as I was running errands around town I noticed quite a few witnesses out in the ministry. On a Thursday, no less, but it wasn't that they were at peoples doors. They were all just driving around. (I think that this must be their circuit overseers visit this week.)

So, to me it seems that they don't ever really do door to door work they just ride around in cars until 10:30 for break and then they stop at noon. Meanwhile, gossiping about whoever is in want of heart.

What amazes me is that all that driving around somehow makes them better than everyone else.
