Because he'll be lying but 'technically correct'.
I know he's getting by on a 'technicality', but it is still a straight-up deception. He knows that the local congregation keeps a list and however they keep it it is still a database. Here's the definition of a database: a comprehensive collection of related data organized for convenient access, generally in a computer.
No matter how they store the 'list' it would still be a database unless they had everything on paper and threw them haphazardly in a drawer somewhere. This crap makes my blood boil. Even more so because every time I bring something like this up with my spouse, she just ignores it.

Dub life is EASY in Sign Language!!
Unless you wake up and want to fade. Then you're harassed because it's a "privilege" to be in a foreign language group and by not being the stellar witness example you're damaging the congregation.

Yippee bro lesh just gave me permission to love my disfelowshipped friends.

I tried that logic a long time ago with my spouse. The scriptures say to "quit mixing in company with one called a brother", but DF'd or DA'd ones are no longer "brothers" so this scripture doesn't apply. She couldn't accept that logic. The indoctrination overrides all thinking ability. -

While I don't think that there is an issue with JWs having a database of those who are deaf (all of our names and addresses appear on some Compagnie's database), my biggest issue with this article is the lie told by Spinks that there is no database. The other problem is that they keep harassing the same people after being told to not come back, but that's more of an internal communication issue.
How Spinks can say with a straight face that there is no db is beyond me. Every foreign language group or congregation works off of a db of names of known users of the language. I wish I llived in NZ. I'd contact this group and tell them that Spinks is lying to them.

So changes were made, but who cares because were so deep into the end, nothing the Organization does, really matters—does it?
by John Aquila inso i called a few jwdubs that still talk to me, not to try to convince them of anything or wake them up but to try to get a feedback on how they took the big meeting change and other announcements.
generally speaking, all the ones i talked to were not even fazed by the changes.
many of them still didnt even realize the meeting format had changed and thought the layoffs were a normal thing that happens all the time.

My point to an elder was that the Israelites had the 10 plagues, the cloud of fire that led them, the parting of the red sea, and the manna they received each day to remind them who was leading them. Jesus gave signs and miracles. Where are these signs with the WT? Only 1 "prophecy" has come true and they even prophesied wrong about that one. Since 1914, they have been wrong about every other "prophecy".
The only thing he could point to was correct understandings of core doctrines (hell, trinity, ransom) and the preaching work. The core doctrines we believe are correct because that's all we've ever been taught and the preaching work is experiencing diminishing returns.

WOW!!!
Perry, that is a horrific thing for them to do and completely against even JW teachings.
I am so sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine what you're going through. Please know that my thoughts are with you even though I've never met you.

Is Watchtower beginning to buckle
by Truthexplorer inis wt beginning to buckle under the weight of everything that is happening?
heavy criticism from the media and the plethora of websites and youtube videos popping up; and now the obvious issues with finances clearly evident.
the pressure for change must be immense and therefore necessary!

It seems obvious to anyone who will look at all of the data that their changes are to lower costs and could be because of lack of funds. The problem is that JWs don't look at all of the data. In the US, almost none of them are aware of the Australian Royal Commission or even the Conti or Lopez cases. Other than the elders or some of the MS's, most are unaware of the money grab from the KHs and are unaware that donations are down. They swallow the spin from the org that reductions/changes are to focus on the preaching work because the end is so near.

The question should be "Is shunning of disfellowshipped/disassociated persons a loving arrangement?"
