I find his words inspiring. We can choose not to hate. Hate begets hate. I'm not saying that there shouldn't be a military response to those who are responsible, but hating them or living with hate will continue the cycle.

If they're just going to emulate Jimmy Swaggart and the like (e.g.: JW Broadcasting), why do they need such a massive compound in Warwick?
by Calebs Airplane inthey're obviously getting rid of the rags, drastically reducing printing of books in general, eliminating special pioneers, etc., etc.. ... what could they possibly need a 1.6 million square feet compound for (not including outside space) in the middle of nowhere?.
just to put things into perspective, 1.6 million square feet is equal to the square footage of roughly twelve (12) costco warehouse clubs.

They are supposed to be creating two or more museums for JWs to visit. One is specifically for the Bible and the other is for JW history. They have smaller versions currently at Brooklyn, but my understanding is that they will be much larger at Warwick.
Do we know how much sq ft they have at Brooklyn now? They do have a lot of offices and conference rooms in Brooklyn now.

The increase in congregations would be nowhere near as large if it wasn't for the foreign language congregations. Every ASL congregation around us is down to ~30 publishers. They keep creating new congregations and new circuits of smaller and smaller sizes and call it "growth". -

It's actually a good scam that the WT has. They are getting pioneers excited to go to the SKE. Before the accept them, they make them agree to move where ever they are asked all on their own dime. When they graduate, they tell them where they want them to go and the pioneers go. It's like need-greaters, but the society gets to direct them like SPs without paying for them.
Many who graduated from the first classes (couples school) were upgraded to SPs, temp SPs, or temp COs. And even last years class graduates were told that after about 18 months they would either be upgraded to one of the above or be let loose to stay where they were assigned or return home.
I suspect that's why they feel comfortable letting all the SPs go. They have an almost free and endless supply of SPs that they don't have to pay for.

Mormons don't shun quite the same way as JWs either. They feel more open to discuss problems with one another. JWs are constantly told not to "murmur". -

however, there arose a third category who did not leave the organization, but brought a new view into their heart: jws are right in their core cause (gods kingdom as the solution to mankinds problems) but may or may not be right in their supplementary teachings, hence are not bothered about changes happening in this unimportant area..

Thank you for your posts. It's encouraging to know that there are some who are more rational within the org. I too agree that some teachings of JWs have merit. I don't agree that I need to belong to JWs in order to be saved. I may stay, but only because of family. I think there are plenty of other ways to spread the good news other than knocking on doors or standing by a cart.
I hope that more rational JWs will continue to awaken, but there is no way that they can affect change. The org does not allow change from the R&F. The only change is from the top. They have repeatedly shown that the only time they will change is when forced to because of laws, court cases, or money. Maybe when the money dries up, they will start to realize how they have deviated from Christ.
It's hard to live a double-life though and I'm not sure I can keep up the pretense that I believe all that the GB spouts. I think that is what many have issue with as well.
I look forward to more discussions with you in the future.
