  Looking at if from the standpoint of how DNA is transmitted from man to woman and the practically infinite possible combinations of DNA, I'd say that any small change (even position during the act) would significantly decrease the likelihood of your existence. So, I'd say it would be highly improbable that the same person would exist if any predecessor made even the slightest change in his daily activities.

  You should watch "About Time". It's about a time traveler and it explores this idea a bit.

  Need confirmation: WT bought an entire mountain in China to mine the granite needed for new WT HQ

  someone asked for a second source on this, so i'm putting this out there to those who may have visited the new wt hq lately and know it to be true.

  i had read from others on the ex-jw subreddit that had taken a tour recently at wt hq, that they had been shown photos of a mountain in china, and told that this is where all of the granite is being mined from and shipped over to new york to use at the site of the new wt hq.

  apparently, it was cheaper for them to do this and have the local brothers in china mine it, then having to by tons upon tons of granite here in the usa, even wholesale.

  The WT has TONS of underground activity going on in China. It's easy for them to create a corporation that has no direct ties to the banned religion. They did similar things in the US when buying up property in New York. I personally know that they have corporations that they own/use in China for buying and warehousing all manner of Chinese made products to be used in other countries. I don't know the corporation names but I know some that have worked at them in China.

  I could see them buying an mountain and using "need greaters" or Chinese JWs to mine the granite.

  i read this blog post by a person i have no idea if she is still a jw or not, but it made me think and gain some new perspective on using the divine name.

  please read it if you can, it will change your view!

  and it totally devalidates the jw dogma that they are the only ones using god's name, no, they are actually orphans.

  Missed out pioneer figure. Worldwide was up a bit.

  Regular pioneer numbers were up worldwide, but not Aux Pioneers. Here's a comparison of the numbers since 2010.

  the wtbs is changing media from print to online.

  if we look at other companies doing the same the obvious buissness model is subscription with a monthly fee people can choose themselves.

  the wtbs can continue to offer everything for free, however subscribers might earn a button for social media or somesuch ("wtbs donor").

  Recently I was told by an elder that if you're donating online you need to inform the elders so they can explain to the CO why contributions are low in the KH boxes. I just shook my head.

  let me start with a disclaimer: i am in no way minimizing the horrific crimes done to children by pedophiles.

  i'm not downplaying the number of lives lost due to the blood issue, or hearts broken because of shunning.

  i do not want to discount the feelings of those who have come to the end of their lives with expectations of paradise postponed.. but to me the biggest atrocity committed by this awful cult is raising children from a small age to believe that soon god will kill billions of people.

  maybe just about nine people were out and man if you could just see their faces.

  I can't speak for the zeal in service first hand as I haven't been in 2 months now. Woot! I can say that one of the last meetings I went to they said their congregation had between 30% and 40% of their publishers in the 1 - 5 hour range for the last year. If that doesn't say apathy, I don't know what does.
